What are some Swedish equivalents of a female name Otelia or Tillie?
 
I am searching for info on Otelia T. Persson(Persdotter). She would have emmigrated to the US around 1907 at 20 yrs of age, presumably from Vikingstad parish Östergötland.  Father Per Johansson and Mother Johanna Matilda Blomqvist.

Hi! Ottilia is a common Swedish name, so the spelling has just been changed. According to RÖTTERs list of standardized spelling of first names (here), Ottilia has been in use since the 1720s. There is also a name Ottiliana, from which Ottilia is derived, which is not so common. There are 3601 women in Sweden today  (31 December 2002) with the name Ottilia.
 
There are 435 Ottilia on the CD-Emigranten, but no-one with last name beginning with P in 1907 (or Johansson). No matches when searching for the 1900s from Östergötland county either.
 
Do you have her birth date? She might not have travelled on an emigrant ticket, and then she's not on the CD, but may be found in other registers which I don't have access to. If you give her birth date others could search those registers. Have you found her on Ellis Island?
