Hi everyone..
 
Do anyone out there know anything about the place named Fruitvale
The place is in California and the county of Kern.
 
I would love information in any kind about that place..

There is a Fruitvale Junior High School in  
Bakersfield which is in Kern County.
 
BART ( a railway company) also has a station in  
Oakland, CA, called Fruitvale Station.

A little more about Fruitvale which is actually  
outside Bakersfield about 10 km. It's a very  
small place with some oil wells and farmland. The  
area is very hot and dry.

But I'm searching for an area, where people live.
Because I've got a letter written at 1977. The women that wrote the letter says that she was raised in that part of Oakland formerly called Fruitvale. Are we speaking about the same fruitvale?

No,Fruitvale is a part of the city of Oakland in Alameda county whcih is across the Bay from San Francisco. The other Fruitvale that was mentioned is in Southern California. This is Fruitvale is in Northern California.

In my first note I found a site on the web where you can search for places.
And I just found one fruitvale  
and that was in the county of kern, so I thought that it was it.  
But I guess I was wrong then..Thanks Carolyn.
Do you know anything more about Fruitvale..

How are the people living there?

The name Fruitvale come from the street Fruitvale and the surrounding neighbor is called Fruitvale. It is part of the larger city of Oakland(kind of like Old Stockholm is part of the city of Stockholm). The area consists of many square blocks and many people live there. Now mostly people of Mexican ancestry live there now but that was not true in 1977. Now it is not a very safe place to live but in 1977 that was not true.
