I am looking to find out when Djus Ivar Larsson was born and where he was born. I have information that says he was born 1871 in Knås, Venjan and emmigrated to the USA 1901 26 Oct., not sure! Could someone please help? Thank you!

Perhaps 26 October 1901 was the date he registered to leave his parish, but it took some time to get to Göteborg and maybe he didn't leave immediately.

I believe Maple Lake is in Minnesota rather than in Michigan.
I find it on the current and closed post offices list for Minnesota but not for Michigan.
 
Of course Maple Lake could be a township but my google search for such a place did not yield positive results.

Thanks to all of you! I am related to Leif Mörkfors and I did not know he uses this site as I am new to it myself! Thanks to Judy for the info and Chuck I thank you also, I am from Minnesota and know where Maple Lake is so I will research there also!
