Origins of Kullberg surname

I have found my great grandfather's Swedish birth record but I can not read the entry in its entirety, namely the sponsors' area.  I would much appreciate it if someone fluent in Swedish could review the document and translate for me.

Anders Johan was born to Johanna Johannesdotter (22 years old) on December 31, 1846 and his christening was January 1, 1847.  He was born on farm Björkholm in the parish of Alsheda (today Alseda) in Jönköping län.   Below his name the word oäkta is listed.  I understand this word to mean illegitimate child.  My great grandfather moved his family to America and lived in the state of Iowa.  He went by the name Andrew John Kullberg in America.
 
The head of the household on farm Björkholm at the time of my great grandfather's birth was named Anders Peter Kullberg.  Is there any church or state court record for that period that may provide any light to the identity of the father of my great grandfather?  It would be easy to jump to the obvious conclusion but I would really appreciate any information that might clarify the situation based on official documents.  Thank you very much.

It?s not written anything in the birthrecord about Anders Johans father. I have also looked at the householdrecords for Nedre Björkholm Kronogård AI:14 Alseda p 60, AI:15 p 65, AI:16 p 66, AI:17 p 69.  
 
Jägmästare (forest officer) Anders P Kullberg b 1799-08-21 Alseda - there is a comment to the right in the householdrecord: Är af Tingsrätt dömd att gifta sig med Jfr Dahlberg = Sentenced by the Districtcourt to marry miss Dahlberg.
 
But it seems he does not marry her even though...She is not listed as a wife in the records. Perhaps there were other children born to him?
 
Johanna Johansdotter was born 1824-10-23 Vetlanda, Jönköpings län. In the householdrecord AI:17 a remark says that she and her son moves to Vetlanda 1858, but I can?t find them in the movingrecord for Vetlanda. What date and place of emigration do you have for Anders Johan Kullberg?
 
If you look at this homepage for the regional archive at Vadstena, you?ll find information to contact them and ask for help to find courtrecords for Östra härad (Alseda).

Anders Peter did have another son, Adam Napoleon born on 02 Feb 1825 unknown parish but his mother was a Sofia Dalhberg.  In AI:10, 1820-1826, 50/0 he is listed as living with his father's parents.
 
Johanna and Anders Johan did go to Vetlanda in 1858, returning to her parents. AI:16 1856-1860, 304/0.  I do have movingrecord #17, it covers Anders Johan's wife, Johanna Maria Svensdotter, and two sons when they left 1882-03-24.  It does state that Anders Johan left earlier (1881).  I do not have any date or place of emigration for him.

Anders Kullberg, age 24, from Vetlanda, left Göteborg on 1881 April 29 with a ticket for Boone, presumably in Iowa.
 
His age is wrong, but it ought to be your man.

Thank you for the information Elisabeth.  My great grandfather would have been 34 but Boone, Iowa is very near where he settled and the date is right on with what my family always told me, that he left 1 year before his family did.  I don't think the age is a problem, it would have been an easy error to make.
 
My grandfather, Gustaf Adolf Kullberg, was one of the two sons that came over a year later.  He died in Boone, Iowa in March 1969.

His grave is still excisting at Alseda graveyard according to information on the internet, an ironcross, grave number 16.
 
Björkholm Håkansgård and Kronogård seems to be the same place. If you contact the archives in Vadstena, ask them to find his estateinventory for you. Should be one dated some time shortly after his death. In this they should look for names of children to inherit him or mentioned in any other way.

Hi Lowell, thank you for your kind words, and you got the info you need from Judy, who is understating her knowledge of Swedish records, she is really very good with them.
 
The source code can be used to find out the name of the ship that took your Anders Kullberg to England, if you contact the Regional Archives at Göteborg. But the name of the ship for the U.S. is not to be found in Swedish records, you would have to go through the American Passenger lists for that.

Kullberg, arriving on the City of New York, May 23, 1881 from Liverpool, England is probably my great grandfather.  The actual passenger list provides little supporting data, but the facts you provided in your earlier comment tends to back up this arrival being my great grandfather.
