Is this a Swedish name?

While going through Family Search website and CDs  
searching for the parents of Jon Ersson,b.1692 in Jäder,Södermanland I found the father to be Erik Brady,b.1676 in Jäder.This doesn't sound like a Swedish name and I am wondering where it came from.Does anyone have any information about this?

Can you give us some more information. Where in Jäder does the family live at that time? While I looked at the birthrecords i could´t find any child with strange familynamne. Can it be that the farm was named Braby?

Family Search are noted for enthusiasm rather than accuracy. I suspect this name has been incorrectly transcribed by someone unfamiliar with Swedish.

Erik was a soldier and his name was Brådd.

Thank you,everyone. The family was from Malby,Jäder.I realize Family Search contains a lot of errors and I have not ordered the films yet. I was wondering about the name. I will also check the Central Soldiers Register,as well as the Södermanland regiment.I appreciate the input.
