Hi

Happy New Year to you all.

I would like help with translating immigration record of Adolf Fredrik, Stockholm GID 2728.247.63500. I have been trying to work out the word/Place names in the record no 2023 Falk, Claes Bernhard but can't find any resembling them in parish records. ( I know of Åker)
Is the column with utskrifningsort? (beside the Column Förut tillhört) inwards or out?

Please excuse any spelling errors of Swedish words.

Thanks for your help.

Jenny

Jenny,
the family had moved from Helsinki August 18, 1866. Mechanic Claes Bernhard Falk's wife Josefa Carolina Lönnbäck was born Nov 7, 1832 in Ekenäs, Finland. Their daughter's name was Hulda Maria Apollonia. The address of the family in Adolf Fredrik parish was Saltmätaregränd 12.

Josefa Carolina's parents where brass founder Johan (or Johannes) Magnus Lönnbäck and Eva Fredrica Lindman, according to www.genealogia.fi/hiski?se

Could this be Claes Bernhard and his son or brother? Unfortunately, I don't have Hedvig Eleonora household records of 1858, so I cannot check the birth date of this Carl Bernhard Falk.

Claes Bernhard Falk, former artilleryman, born April 22, 1822 is found in [Jakob and] Johannes parish in mantalsregistret (a population register of Stockholm) 1855 with his wife and a son:
Inga Beata Falk b. 22 March, 1820
Claes Otto b. 29 August, 1846

1856, 1857 and 1858 Claes Bernhard Falk lived in Hedvig Eleonora (former Ladugårdsland) parish (these years the registers don't include wife and children). 1859 he is not found at all in Stockholm, so he probably is the Carl Bernhard who emigrated to Helsinki in 1858.

But this may not be any news to you, Jenny?

Thank you all for all the information.

I am trying to trace the movements of my great grandfather Claes Otto Falk. He was the first born son of Claes Bernhard Falk and Inga Beata Erickdotter. His mother died in 1856 and I am tryng to find out where Claes Otto Falk went if he wasn't with his father at the age of 10.

I know that he was employed as a quartermaster on a ship in China early in 1881 and then married my greatgrandmother in 1881 Australia.

With all the information to fill in the gaps I hope to find him.

Thanks again
Jenny
