Nyberg, Jonas in Kyrkefalla Parish

I am looking for information on Jonas Nyberg who lived in Kyrkefalla in 1799. He was married to Maria Pehrsdotter. I do not know his birth date or where he was born. A son Gustaf Nyberg was born in Kyrkefalla March 1799 (he is my gr-gr-gr-grndfthr). There may have been other children in this family as well. Any information or help on where to look would be appreciated.

I am trying to find out who were the parents of Jonas Nyberg born 20 May 1766 in Hjo. Also, any information on if he were a farmer or was in another occupation. I am descended from him, and I am told his son Gustaf and some of Gustaf's sons were painters.
 
Also, a question as I see the name Ulrik used twice in the family for 2 sons 6 years apart. Would this indicate that perhaps the first son died?
 
Any help would be apprecaited.

In the book of birth there is no boy with name Jonas born in may, but the 20th of july (GID 986.26.103500). His parentes was: Farmer Jonas Larsson and Brita Larsdotter at Götarshemmet, Kyrkfalla.

If you see the name Ulrik used twice in the family for 2 sons 6 years apart, you have a VERY strong reason to suspect that the first one died before the second one was baptised.
 
I have seen rare exceptions, for example two living boys named Anders, named after their two grandfathers who were both named Anders.

If you look closely at the information Karl Bergstrand gave you from Kyrkefalla A1:3 you can see that the first Ulrik has a date for his death and that the second Ulrik was born five years after that. You can also see that the daughter Johanna had died.

Yes, I missed those death dates totally! When the birth dates are listed is the month written out or are numbers used (i.e. May or 05 for 5th month)? Could the Jonas with the July birth date be correct? Would there be another type of record for him which would show a birth date? Like a death record for Jonas Nyberg? Or a marriage record for he and Maria Persdotter...married before 1799? To confirm if the May listing was an error and the July date and parents are correct for Jonas.

The Jonas with the July birth date is not your Jonas - he is born in the wrong parish, Kyrkefalla, not Hjo. You will find your Jonas in the birth record book for Hjo stadsförsamling and Hjo landsförsamling. The other books are separate, but not the birth records. That means you can find him on both GID 984.4.3500 and GID 983.7.3500. There it says his parents are Jon Jonsson and Karin Svensson. There is more information as well, but I cannot read it. Put a posting for help to read it and you could find out more about them. The date of birth is May 30, 1766 and baptism June 1, 1766. When I saw the date differed from what you got earlier in this discussion I checked the Household record for Kyrkefalla and having the birth record in mind saw that even there the date of birth was May 30.
