Census of 1890 in Sweden

I recently received information about my GG grandfather being on the Swedish census in 1890. Does this mean he was physically present at the time of the census as someone mentioned that it normally would have taken 5 years to compile the information and he may not of been present.

No, he would have been physically present at the time of the census taking - but maybe not at the time the authorities had compiled all of the information 5 years later. I've often wondered myself how long the work of putting all of the information together might have taken...
