Does anyone know of the Stedt Family in 1800's from Ubbelby?  I am needing to see if Teodor Fritiof Stedt born 8/7/1855 in Orlunda had siblings that also left for Amerika.  Who was mother and father.

I will try to connect more of the family now with this new information. That there were brothers that immigrated at the same time.  I wonder what they list a destinations?  I find one in Mass and an other in ILL and Maine.
 
And Britt-Marie,  Thank you so much for the family record information.  It also confirms that Theodor Frithiof had a brother Klaus Johan that I thought might have been related to.
 
On Anna Karolina Stedt  she has a son Karl Viget no born in marriage.  Who is the father, what is last name I should use? Karlsson???  Karl Victor Karlsson or another mans?  Do you know what is date of marriage on Anna and Karl Victor?

Children aren't listed in these records, or usually aren't listed, to be perfectly accurate, with last names. You will need to find out what last name Karl Viget used as an adult. Since he emigrated, I assume you will find him in U.S. Census records eventually with the name he used. He probably used the same last name as others in his household, since he left Sweden, but that isn't 100% certain, of course.

Yes, I am the same Patti.  Iron River is where Theodore's wife's family was living.  I knew the were there in 1900 because they are on the census with her family.  But then we lost track of them.  They showed up in Maine in 1910 census.  But I can find no record of Anna or Ture after 1900.  So it has been confusing.

To Patti and Judy: Theodor Frithiof may have the last name Nilsson when he emigrates in 1887. In the parishrecords his last name is Nilsson at this time. Later on he seems to have taken his fathers last name, Stedt.  
 
Anna Karolinas son Karl Vigert b 1890-08-07 and the date of marriage for her and Karl Viktor, here I will get back to you later with information. I?ll have to look again for these dates and father to Karl Vigert. I do my research at the archives in Vadstena, Östergötland and I?ll probably will go there next week.

Well Karl Vigert uses last name Karlsson on immigration papers.  So maybe it is Karl Viktor's son.  Just that they were not married at time of birth.  Maybe Karl Victor was away in military at time.

Perhaps the father is named on Karl Vigert's birth record in Sweden. Look under Ostergotland (not the correct spelling of Östergötland) in the Family History Library Catalog. Select Civil Registration and look for the right year and Födde/Födda (for births). Select the film you want, note its number, and order from a Family History Center. (It might be available on Genline. Select sc instead of the name of the parish. Check for availability before subscribing.)

Hello Patti, Judy and Jacki....(I have recieved a private e-mail from Jacki Russel with a request for research of Nils Gabriel Stedts parents too, I prefer to answer at this place so that all relatives can get the information if interested).
 
Here is the birthrecord for Karl Vigert *1890-08-07 (C:9 Västra Ny) Oäkta. Ubbelsby p 424, Mother: Anna Karolina Stedt, 29 years old. No father is mentioned. Not in the household records either.
 
C:9 Västra Ny (marriage) 1894-05-18, Karl Viktor Karlsson and Anna Karolina Stedt, both from Harpen, Eldsbränna.  
 
I don?t think that Karl Viktor Karlsson is father to Karl Vigert....he was married before this to Hulda Augusta Charlotta Persdotter b 1859-03-10 V Ny and dead in Harpen 1893-03-24. They had three children in their marriage:

S. Karl Emil Gunnar b 1887-02-03,dead 1887-04-06

Perhaps she went back again, I don?t know...hav?nt checked this yet.
