Hi Ivan,
Spent a few hours at my library today, checking the church records of Gärdserum thru Genline and found out something about Ingberg family:
The crofter Johan Leonard Ingberg was born on 21 September 1824 in Stockholm,
his wife Catharina Elisabeth Larsdotter was born on 16 February 1818 in Ed, hard to decide whether it is Västra Ed Parish in Kalmar county or Östra Ed Parish in Östergötland county, they are rather close to each other.
their children:'
Carl August born on 20 December 1842 in Gärdserum,
Johan Peter Alfrid, born 10 May 1852 in Gärdserum
(also a daughter born in Gärdserum, Clara Matilda, born 30 September 1856, she died 21 April 1863.)
1869 the family lived in a cottage called Holmbo at the estate of Nannesbo, Gärdserum.
before that (1862 and before) they lived in a side-cottage called Andersholm, also at the estate of Nannesbo, Gärdserum
.
It appears that Johan Leonard Ingberg came from an orphanage in Stockholm. Probably he came to Gärdserum as foster-child, I have not had time enough to proceed.
They left Gärdserum on 30 April 1869, heading for North America.
