Hello!

I'm looking for information about (or maybe even descendants of) these brothers and sisters, called Oscarson/Oscarsson/Oskarsson and all born in Algutsboda parish, Småland, Sweden.
They are children of Oskar Jonasson/Jonsson and Sara Lisa Petersdotter:

Anny Emilia b.1882
Rudolf Hjalmar b.1884
Ester Linnea b.1887
James Gottfrid b.1888
These are my great-grandmothers'cousins. I know from the Ellis Island database that Rudolf lived in Dassel, Minnesota in 1906. His address was in 1920, Dassel Bakery, Dassel, Minnesota. I also know (from the same source) that James lived in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1917. But I have reasons to believe that the girls also went overseas. The  whereabouts of the girls are not known to the family in Sweden in 1915. (my source for that is the estate inventory after their grandfather).

I'm also looking for information about the children from Oskars'second marriage, although they are not relatives of mine. They are born in Algutsboda parish.
(Parents: Oskar Jonasson/Jonsson and Ida Amanda Johansdotter.)

Lilly Natalia b.1897
Maurits Gideon b.1898
Signe Malvina b.1899

I have found (at the Ellis Island database) another daughter of Oskar, Alice Ottilia. She was listed as 18 years old when she arrived in 1920. She was heading for Dassel, Minnesota.
Lilly N and Signe M went together to America in 1917 and their destination was Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Finally, Maurits G came in 1921, he was also going to Minneapolis, Minnesota.

I'm grateful for any leads! And I will of course share the information I have about the family in Sweden, if someone is interested.

I found one Rudolph Oscarson in the 1910 census, age 26, a hired man on a farm, living in Cass County, ND.  I did not find many Oscarsons living in Minnesota on that census.  Also, the 1920 census that was mentioned above (James G. Oscarson, living in Meeker Co, MN) lists an uncle living with him - John E. Johnson, 74 years old, who came to the U.S. in 1869.  Is that person from your family?  If so, the Oscarsons must have gone to No. Dakota as farmers, and then moved on.

In 1920 (U.S. census) there is a Lillie Oscarson, age 22, living in Minneapolis and working as a maid at 2011 Kenwood Parkway.  It says that she emigrated in 1917, so that must be Lilly Natalia.  Her occupation is listed as a home servant in a private home.
Also in 1920 there is a Signe M. Oscarson, age 20, working as a maid for Robert and Mary Campbell at 1618 Emerson Avenue.  It says that Signe came in 1916 and was a servant for a private family.
I do not think that there is a Minnesota marriage index on-line.  Maybe someone would look up the 1930 census to see if the Oscarson girls are still unmarried and living in Minnesota under their maiden names.  I do not have the 1930 census here at home.

Hello!
Thanks to all four of you who have answered above! (I haven't had Internet access during the Easter time). I'm just wondering, didn't you see the sister Alice Ottilia?

To Kerstin: Thank you! The birth date for the James Gottfrid you have found in the drafting records matches the one I have from the birthrecord in Sweden.

To Björn-Åke: where did you get the information about the death of Ester Linnea?
From “Sveriges dödbok” or is it something you know because she was a relative?

To Karen: I don't think that the Rudolph you found in the 1910 census is this Rudolf.
Rudolf was “bagarlärling” in Sweden. (I'm sorry, but I don't know what English word I should use. It means that he was living with and working for a baker) And from his address later on I mentioned that he's address was to a Bakery, in Dassel.

In the estate inventory after the father of Sara Lisa Petersdotter, Peter Johannesson also in Bälshult, Algutsboda, from 1915, was the children of Sara Lisa mentioned as:
Anny Emelia, Rudolf Hjalmar, Ester Linea and James Gottfrid and it's not known where they lived. (“vistas å okänd ort”)

I'm pleased that I got so many answers, thank you again!
