Hi Ulric:  That is fabulous!  How wonderful for you.  I'd love to hear what happens from here-if you don't mind sharing that...what this lady may find in her notes and such.  Would she likely then know of Fred's trip to find Frans-details such as when and the actual name used?  I am still re-checking for him but have not been successful yet.

Anyway, should it indeed be Frans then he must have mis-stated his birthplace as Norway (he was born in Sweden wasn't he?!)...and of course being single.  I think it likely to be as we have supposed...changed the facts of his past, just a little...
It is really quite interesting and I am so glad for you!

Kind regards,
Donna

Ulric!  Ishbel made her trip and did manage to find an obituary for Frank Bjork (how kind of her-while on vacation!!)...it appears to have been placed by the same friend (JK Robinson-the friend/informant of the death certificate).  She made a copy-but it offers no additional information...
I do not think she had any luck with finding directory listings for Frans/Frank-but he may well have boarded different places and never had his own property/home....
I will provide your mailing address to Ishbel, so that obit can be sent on to you, OK?!

Any more news/finds for you over there?!
In any case, I hope all is well!

Best regards,
Donna

Hi Donna!

Nice to hear from you! How kind of Ishbel, you
are most welcome to forward my mailing
adress to
her. Please give her my best thank you,
wonderful
that she were so kind to look for this!

I think that we can be sure on that it is in fact
Frans that we have found. I have gotten
information from the church records her in
Sweden, and Frank is listed as dead in
Vancouver,
British Columbia, Canada in October 1932!

All is well here, I hope that all is well in
Canada to! I will make a new post if I find
something more out.

Thank you agin Donna!

Best wishes
Ulric

Inger: My brother lives near Lloydminster Saskatchewan. I have asked him if he knows anything about an Erik Eriksson.
Was Erik a farmer in Canada?
Did he have brothers or sisters in Canada?

The city of Lloydminster is half in the province of Saskatchewan(Sask.) and half in the province of Alberta. The border runs north and south through the middle of the city.He could easily have lived in either province.

something about Erik Erikson.

Was Erik a farmer in Canada?
Did he have friends or brothers or sisters in Canada? Do you know their names?

Lloydminster is now a city. Half of the city is in the province of Sask. and half of the city is in the province of Alberta. The border runs north and south through the centre of the city. Erik could have lived in Alberta or Sask.

Hi Ishbel!

Erik travel with Per Aksel Matson, born 1864, and his family. Erik don?t have any family in Canada.
Erik is listed as dead in Yahk, British Columbia in 1925. I belive that is my Erik.
I don?t know if Erik was a farmer. I know verry little about him.

Inger: I plan to go to Vancouver British Columbia
for a short visit about Feb.23. I will try and copy Erik's death registration for you if you do not have it.
His death registration is on film in the Vancouver public library.

Yahk is a small town in the south east B.C.
It is 15km north of the United States border.

Inger: The death registration should tell us if he was married and his wife's name.

In the B.C. vital statistics marriage index I only found an Eric Erickson( no E.K.) who married Lillie Dahlen in Nelson B.C. Dec. 12 1915.
I will check this also.
Nelson is about 160 km from Yahk.

There is a digital image of this marriage registration for purchase but
it costs me nothing to look at the film.

I?m not sure that it is my Eric bacause my Eric was born 1884 and Eric in Yahk was only 38 years old when he died. I hope that i found the right Eric.
My best thank you and good luck.

Inge:Sometimes the person who gives the information for the death registration makes a mistake or does not know the correct age.
I will find the information and then you can decide if it is the correct person.
