I'm looking for the emigration of Hanna Victoria Gustafsdotter Holmberg, born 1884 12/3 in Ljusnarsberg, Örebro län. Our 1900 and 1910 census says she emigrated 1886. She would have been only 2 if correct. Her mother was Hanna Matilda Källgren 1861 8/12 in Gryt and father Gustaf Holmberg 1852 30/5 in Lindesberg. Last location I found for the family was when they were listed as moving-out from Gillingstugan, Hyltinge back to Ljusnarsberg,Örebro 1884 7/11. There are no parents on those census, she is listed as a grand-daughter/foster daughter. She is in the home of her grandmother. There is also a second Holmberg child present, Edith K, born abt 1891, says Michigan. Unfortunately, most of our 1890 census was destroyed, so I can't see if parents were there. I didn't find them on any immigration list on Ancestry.com.
Any help appreciated. Karen

The (nursing baby) part belongs next to Dibarn, not next to the registration date. Oops!

You mentioned Michigan. Did they live in Michigan? Is that where you found Hanna in 1900 and 1910?

There was a state census taken in Michigan in 1894, according to State Census Records by Ann S. Lainhart.

Judy,
As usual you came through for me. Yes, it was in Ishpeming, MI that I found Hannah V Holmberg in 1900. By 1910, she was Hannah V Perry. Thanks for the tip about the MI State Census in 1894. I wasn't aware of this. I don't know why she is listed as Anna, but in the household record where I found the family in 1884, she is Hanna Victoria. Her mother was Hanna and her grandmother was Johanna. Thank you so much.
Have a great weekend. Karen
