A good place to look is at the following site:

www.greatoceanliners.net

My Dad's cousin Anna is supposed to have travelled on the Stockholm in October 1916, and  I have a postcard that she sent home with a picture of this boat.

Marie about the other ships none of the names is familiar in swedish merchant marine. Are you sure about the spelling? That time there was ships with similar names Hernodia and Tamara. One way is to search Lloyds Register during this year in some maritime museum library. In this books all the world merchant ships is registred.

I'm sure about the names,I have a Certificate of discharge for each ship. But this was when he was living in New York so this ships probably are not from Sweden.  Also I need to find information about some kind of Training Ships, that in the 1960's travel  to Puerto Rico. The one I'm looking for first letter in the name is A

Hi Marie,
Try the new site:  www.ellisislandrecords.org
If the Stockholm went to Ellis Island, then the manifest will be available now for free.
The site is very busy, so it is experiencing some problems.  I found my fathers ship from 1903.  I even got a picture of it.  It is a fantastic site.
Best regards and good luck

Hello Maria---again,
Try searching swedish-american line in Yahoo etc.
I found a nice site with the old Stockholm ship from 1915.  Pictures and all.
It was called A Tribute to the Swedish American Line.
I hope this helps a little.  Have fun.
Floyd

HMS Älvsnabben, the long-cruising school ship of the Royal Swedish Navy, was in San Juan, Puerto Rico, 17 - 21 February 1966. Have a look at this page. It's in Swedish, but it has lot of pictures of the crew.

Alvsnabben was the ship I was looking for.
In the stop this ship made in Puerto Rico. My grandfather Erik Gerhard Berg received a special invitation to visit it. By that time my grandfather was the only Swedish resident  in PR
The Captain of the Ship was Nils Rydstrom. Is there anyone who was part of the crew that remember this trip?

There was a Swedish training ship named Albatros. It was owned by a company Broströms in Gothenburg. This company does not wxist anymore.
Albatros used to go worldwide. May be this is the one you are looking for.

Good luck
Ingemar
