Looking for any information about my ggparents' families - Smaland.  My great-grandfather was married twice.  Here is what I believe to be true so far:
 
Johan Viktor m. Ida Christina Johansdotter 1882
Children:
Hjalmar Malcolm b. Sept 19, 1883, Vittaryd parish
  (aka Elmer Malcolm Johnson - my grandfather)
Karl Rudolf b. March 1, 1885, Vittaryd parish
Per (Pete) Laurius b. 5/7/1887, Berga parish
Selma Augusta b. 11/28/1888, Berga parish
 
Johan Viktor m. Anna Lovisa A. Karlsson 1895
Children:
Helmina b. 5/16/1896
Anders Gustaf Gotthard b. 4/7/1899, Berga parish
 
Elmer, Pete, Selma, Gus, and Helen all emigrated to U.S. in various years from around 1900 to 1913.  They took the last name 'Johnson'.  I don't know what ever happened to Pete or Gus, or if Karl ever emigrated - if he ever married, had children, etc.  I would appreciate any information, regardless of how little it might be.

Regarding the CD over Kronobergs county where Vittaryd is located the parents to Hjalmar Malkolm
born 19 of september 1883 was Anders 35 years old and Eva Johannesdotter 22 years old. So thats not the same as you have.
 
There is also a Karl Rudolf born 1 of may 1885 with parents Anders Johan Viktor Ling 36 years old and Ida Kristina Johannesdotter 24 years old.
 
In Berga when they got Selma Augusta there is a note that Selma was their fourth child..

Hello again,
 
Per Laueris born 7 of May 1887 in Berga parish parents Anders Johan Viktor 39 years old and Ida Kristina Johannisdotter 26 years old.
 
Ida Kristina Johannesdotter died 22 of May 1893 in Berga parish.
 
Anna Helmina Rut died 4 of July 1894 when she was 3 years and 4 month old. Parents was Andreas Joh. Viktor and his ded wife Ida Johannesdotter.

Thank-you for the Information.  I still find the name variations confusing sometimes.  I had not seen the name 'Anders Johan Viktor Ling' yet.  And I had thought that Anna Helmina had been the same as 'Helen' that emigrated to the US in 1913.  Do you see a record of a Helmina born May 16, 1896?  
Do you mind giving me a little lesson in the name variations?  How is it that the name 'Ling' appears on one record of Anders Viktor?  And is the name 'Rut' in 'Anna Helmina Rut' similar to a middle name or a confirmation name?  Just curious.

Regarding the name I think that Anders was a soldier, they used to get another last name at that point. The children used to get their last name in the order of patronymic.
 
Sometimes the name in the birth/baptizedbook was changed later, I think one reason was that the priest could not see what he had written or when they moved the new priest could not see what the latest had written.
 
Sometimes one person changed his last name, there was no law against it, but the priest changed it back after some year.
