I have found som old letters which belong to my grandfather Ernst Malmgren, Glemminge, Sweden. They were sent to him in the middle of 1930´s regarding a inheritance. All the persons was related to my grandfather and they all emigrated to America.
In Americat they changed name from Swedish to English namnes and I will write both their names.
Otto Valdemar Nilsson, born 13 June 1886 on Bornholm, Denmark. He changed his name to Walter O Nelsson and married av women called Edith Nelson. When the letter was written they were living in 103 Broadhead Ave. Jamestown, NY.
His brother Nils Sigfrid Nilsson, born 31 August 1887 in Bornholm, Denmark. His english name was Fred Nelsson and the address was 27 Fosert Ave. Jamestown, NY.
They had to sisters Sofia Magdalena Nilsson (Sofia Bennet) born 2 April 1895 on Bornholm. Her addreswas R.Z.D.3, Ashville, NY.
Ester Elisabet Nilsson (Ester Elisabet Lindström) born 21 December 1896 on Bornholm and lived at 200 Sampson Street, Jamestown, NY.
I think they wnt to America 1913 and left their parents on Bornholm, Elna Olsdotter (Nilsson) 1856-10-11 samt Lars Nilsson 1860-09-13.
The Nilsson siblings had three cousins that also left Sweden.
Per Jensen (Jönsson) born 1871 and Johan Jensen (Jönsson) born 1879. They was living in 626 South 8th Avenue, Mount Vernon, NY and their sister Selma Lövgren/Lovgren/Lifgren born 1874 was living in Bovina Center, Delaware County, NY.
I hope that someone hade crossed their path and can tell me more about them och if there relatives living in the area.
Best regards
Christina Holmström
