This woman is my husbands grandmother on his father's side. She was born in Oskarshamn on May 23, 1892 and died in Stockholm in April, 1976.  
She had 2 brothers. He does not know their names. She had a small laundry business in Stockholm on Norbackagatan. Can anyone help me in finding out who her parents were. Can you search for obituaries from Stockholm newspapers on the internet? Her husbands name was Karlsson also so she had the same name after she married.

Hi Esther, there is a CD with Deaths in Sweden in the years 1950-1999 (no names on it for the period 1950-1970, only birth dates and death dates).This should be her, but the year of birth is two years off and the parish is Tuna (a short way northwest of Oskarshamn).

There are no online obituaries. You could try the Genealogical Society (Genealogiska föreningen) that has some registers offline of obituaries for copies made from the major papers of Stockholm, even if Karlsson is so common. Their e-mail is gf@genealogi.net .
 
As there is no date of birth for him given, it's not much use to search the CD for him, there are 342 men who died in Stockholm in April 1957, and 30 in the parish she lived in 20 years later.

I did find the brother Oskar Vilhelm Leonard in the deathrecords.
He died januari 8 1973 at Vinebergsvägen 11 6th floor in Solna, Råsunda parish.
He was married in 1954-01-05 with Kally Lovisa, born 1899-09-26 i Klara parish, Stockholm.
She died november 18th 1980 at the same adress.
They had taken another surname Gatenbeck.
In 1970 there were 13 persons with that surname in Sweden, all of them living around Stockholm.
 
The older brother Karl Viktor must had died before 1970.

One of our new found relatives tells me that there was another daughter born to Per Johan and Ida Persdotter and her name was Selma. She was born after Hanna and before Oskar Vilhelm. Can someone check and see if that is correct.

Did this brother, Johan August die when he was young. Is there any way to know when the family moved to Stockholm from Frödinge? Can you go back further to the previous generation at least of the father Per Johan Karlsson? How can you find out what year the parents died? Thank you in advance for so many questions.

Johan August was 16 years old when he moved with his parents to Frödinge. So he couldn?t have died so very young!

We have been on vacation so I am just reading your reply. You said, Johan August was 16 when he moved with his parents to Frodinge. Did you mean to Stockholm? Do you know what year the family moved to Stockholm and was the father Per Johan still alive at that time. Is there a census from that time that you can look at to see who lived in that household.

I´m sorry but I have only the date 18990630 (genline)when the whole family moved from Tuna to Frödinge. Maybe someone else can help you?
