Thank you, Jörgen!
So he ran away.
This is very interesting. I wondered what happened to him. He is listed along with my ancestor Corporal Måns Andersson Wäkman (b. ca 1688) on the 1718 GMR as soldier #93. Also, there is a record for this Måns Andersson (b. 1700) on the Centrala Soldatregistret, but the only information on this record is his enlistment year, age, etc. I'm trying to determine whether or not there is family connection between these 2 men, both named Måns Andersson, and under the same soldier number. He doesn't appear with Corporal Måns Andersson after that one year. so now I know why.
Attached is a copy of the 1718 GMR and there is a short note which I'm not sure about - does this help explain?

Does anyone have any idea why 2 men would be listed together under the same soldier number? It is especially interesting that they have the same name.
Thanks again for the translation!
