Per or Petter Månsson

I am looking for the parents of Per or Petter Månsson born 1764-12-12 in Hjelm, Fjärås or Asslöv, Tölö area. He married Maria Larsdotter born 1770-10-4 in Fjärås 1799-05-27. They had a son Måns Persson b. 1800-14-2.

Possible parents are Måns Iversson born 1727-7-12 Bengtsered, Fjärås and Elin Torkelsdotter were married 1754-1-6. There are no children listed.  Iversson was married three times but no children listed for any of this wives, Elin Olofsdotter married 1771-04-21 Fjärås and Ingerd Andersdotter married 1773-01-03 Fjärås.

Thank you Hans for your reply.  It has been a lot of years of searching for the family to Per Månsson.  I thought I had the entire family line but a month ago I was told I had the wrong family.

On the website, People and places in Älvsåker and surroundings, Per born in Limmanäs Fjärås is not the one connected to my family. According to the website, Per of Limmanäs was married to Anna Maja Gunnarsdotter born 1765 and not Maria Larsdotter born 1770.

The family I do know is Martin Alfred Månsson (in USA changed to Matson), was son of Måns Persson born 1800-02-14 married to Anna Thalema Eriksdotter born 1811-08-21.  Måns Persson was son of Per Månsson born 1764-12-12 in Asslöv Tölö.

The parents of Maria Larsdotter you sent is the same that I have.

The other family I am stuck on of Carl Svensson born 1781-11-03 Horred maried to Anna Britta Jönsdotter born 1788-04-21 Horred.  The son Johannes Carlsson born 1822-05-27 Älvsåker, Horred.

That's right Maria Larsdotter F 1770-10-04 married in 1799 to Petter Månsson Hjelm Frjärås he came to Hjelm in 1798 aged 32 so born in 1766
and in Tölö church records it is noted that Petter was born in 1755, where did you find he was born on 12/12/1764??


Search Halland's population and Sweden's population many Petter Månsson but again born 12-12-1764.

I don't remember where the I got the month and day for Per but this is what I have found. I know dates can be wrong and don't have a problem with correcting any of my information.

Per Månsson
Was about 76 years old.

Born:
about 1764. [1]

1755 according to HFL, cannot be that old

Resident:
1798 Helmet 1, Fjärås sn, (N). [2]

Resident:
1800 Hällesås, Lindome sn, (O). [3]

Marriage to Maria Larsdotter (1770 - 1836)
Wedding:
1799-05-27 Fjärås sn, (N). [7]

Both Helmets

Children:
 Måns Persson (1800 - 1879)
 Lena Beata Persdotter (1803 - 1871)
 Anna Paulina Persdotter (1811 - 1894)

Per Månsson's birth name was Petter but in later records they used Per? So, I do have the correct Per Månsson but still don't know who his parents were.
There is a note in this entry about the birth year of 1755.

Per Månsson came to Fjärås in 1798 without a certificate so no note where he came from 1799 noted move to Hellesås.
The problem is we don't know where in Sweden he was born.


Possibly I can help with Carl Svensson and Horred You talk about what you need.

With so many people having the same name it is hard at times to know which people are the right family.

Carl Svensson born 1781-11-03 Horred, died 1844-4-9 Skogsåkra, Horred, Älvsborg and married to Anna Britta Jönsdotter born 1788-04-21 Horred.  (I'd like to find her family also)  They had seven children. Their son Johannes Carlsson born 1822-05-27 Älvsåker, Horred. Johannes was in Varberg prison between 1849 to 1860 for theft.

I want to know who are Carl's parents and ancestors?

I really appreciate your help.

My dad had said that his father told him the family came from Uppsala.  Maybe that is where Per Månsson was born.

I've done new searches but without results around Uppsala, that's another problem, many church records are missing mostly because of
Fire and then the people are not in the search page.


If there is more Carl Svensson (if I get an email address) I can write it down on Word and send it over, don't use this forum for that work.
