Brastad C-5 1847-1860 Födelse och dopbok

Several years ago, a kind soul sent me a clip from "bild 30".  This page shows the birth of my great-grandfather, Severin Carlsson (1854 Sköllungen).  I found a record of his birth in another file (on Släktdata, Brastad C:3), but in that file, it does not show his father's name.  This book (C:5) shows that his name was Carl Nilsson.  I found several sites that show church books C:1  - C:4, but not C:5.  What is the difference between C:3 and C:5, which both seem to cover the same years.  Is there any website where I can access this church book?


I would appreciate any assistance!

If he was born in 1854 he is in volume C4, which covers 1820-1860. Volume C5 duplicates 1847-1860. Arkiv Digital has scanned this volume. Either you need a subscription or you can order the volume on a CD-ROM.

Yes, I believe both files cover the same time period.  However, in the case of my great-grandfather, there seems to be more information in the copy (Volume C5).  Specifically, it includes the name of his father.

Severin, born 25 Oct 1854.  In Volume 4, it shows only his mother's name and father unknown or not named.  In Volume C5, his father is named, Carl Nilsson.  It would be valuable to have a copy of this page, since it provides important additional information.
