Hej Ulla, I followed Sjöholm and Lekström until their deaths and did not locate Maria. I do have HFL page numbers for Pehr's siblings and their families and will review the records to see if Maria went to live with any of them.

Hej Ulla, looking more closely at Maria's birth record, I believe her second name is Catharina, just a little hard to read.

Hej Ulla. Thank you for the additional information. The birth record indicates Maria Johanna and the HFL indicates Maria Catharina. One of the two is wrong. Do you know which one? I subscribe to ArkivDigital and do not believe the Tax Census (Mantalslängder) information is available to me.

Tack, Fred

Hej Ulla, I am able to access the internet again and thank you very much for the information you provided. I have reviewed the records and also learned Johan died Aug. 16, 1810 (Orebro Nikolai F:I (1693-1820) im. 191) and Pehr died Apr. 17, 1812 (Orebro Nikolai F:I (1693-1820) im. 197. Although I believed that Pehr was to have a successful life, that was not the case. AI:13 (1806-1810) im. 454, pg. 449 indicates that Maria was born in Orebro but no birth record was located to learn who her godparents were. I have not located a death record and will assume she remained alive. Now I must see if she went to live with relatives.

Thank you so very much, Ulla you have helped me very much!!

Ulla, I was able to access the internet this morning. I am not familiar with BouReg records. Can you please tell me what is the meaning of 21:98 and 23:165 after Sven's name?

Thank you, Fred

Thank you very much for your continued search. I will not be able to access the records that you identified until Saturday. I also hope that someone can locate Pehr and his family.

Thank you very much for the response and death information, Ulla. Unfortunately, the death record does not indicate where the family lived in the parish. Based on the household records AI:12 and 13, is it possible to identify where the family was located in AI:14 or 15? By reviewing each page of 14 and 15, I have located other Bergdahl family members, but not Pehr or his son.

Thanks, Fred

Reference Orebro Nikolai HFH AI:12 (1801-1805), im. 404, pg. 401 AID: v52709.b.s401, line 10 and (AI:13, im. 420, pg. 415), AID: v52710.b420s.415, line 1. Goldsmith Pehr Bergdahl and family are listed in a section referred to as Gesäller (Journeymen?). How do I located the family in AI:14? The register for this record is not the same as in the previous records.

Thanks, Fred

Thank you Jeff,

I should have looked closer at the villages in the Björskog parish to determine if Holma was listed. Since your response, I have searched for Holma info, only to learn that there are apparently no household examination records for the period 1710 to 1737. I also searched the Torpa Västmanland birth records for the period around 1709, the birth date listed on Eric?s death record, with no success. Perhaps someone looking at Eric?s marriage (GID 2332.7.2000) and death (GID 2332.34.60300)records can spot something that my untrained eye can?t spot, that can further assist me.

Thanks, again

I am trying to determine if Eric´s real family name is Holmgren. I have been unable to locate birth records for him. He was married September 17, 1738 in Björskog, Västmanland and died November 1, 1780, also in Björskog. Records indicate he was in the military and that his adult surname was Holmgren. The marriage record indicates he was from Holma (I think), but I cannot find a parish with that name. His death record indicates he was from Torpa Söcken (I think), but I could not find any birth record for him. Can you assist me in my search?

Thank You

Eric Holmgren died Nov. 1, 1780 at Björskog, Västmanland. I am having difficulty trying to read his birthplace in the death book (Genline 2332.34.60300). Can you identify his birthplace or provide additional ancestoral information regarding Eric Holmgren? I have already identified his descendants.

Thank you

Genline GID 2332.34.60300 Birth information is not clear. Can you interpret for me? Am seeking any ancesteral information on Eric Holmgren.
