Does anyone know who the Ancestors of Peter Jonsson Born November 17 1765 in Kråksmåla are? It looks like his Father's name was something like Jon Brorsson but I can't understand the name of the place where he was at. On Brunflo Houshold Examination 1807 - 1817 52/0 image 65 of 193, You can see the name Par Opström born January 22 or 23 1753, it looks like he is the father, of my ancestor. I tried to find his birth record but I could not find it. Maybe he was born someplace else. Maybe someone can find his birth record and the names of his parents. and also the names of his wife's (Brita Nilsdoter born 1744) parents.

On Brunflo AI:2 Household Examination 1807 to 1817, 54/0 image 67 of 193, You can see the name Jonas Olofsson born 1785 then away below that you can see the name Olof Opström born July 7 1785 (My Ancestor), it looks like he might be related to that Jonas Olofsson. If they are related can anyone tell me how they are related?

Does anyone know if this couple Sjul Olofsson born 1669 I think, and his wife Märet Svensdotter born 1665 had a daughter named Karin Sjulsdotter. They lived in Mjösjö Sundsjö. Also, what is Karin's birth date? they had two other daughters
Ingiahl and Anna. I think Anna's birth date was 1711-12-01.

The Olof born 1830 29/8 in Löfsåsen is my Ancestor. I just discovered that one line of these ancestors apparently goes back to Blix ancestors, so there's a lot for me to work on. I'm also searching for the ancestors of Märet Persdotter the wife of Olof Persson.

I am searching for information about the ancestors of these two people: Anders Andersson Hvass, and his wife Maria Olofsdotter. They were living in Hökebro Hammar Nyed. They had a son his name was Olof Andersson,(my ancestor) and he was born on March 5, 1747 in Hökebro Hammar Nyed. I think Anders Andersson Hvass was a Master Smith, I wonder if he could have been a Walloon?

find some more information on this line of people.
I think I have found the name of another son of this Jonas Ruus, His name was Nils Jonsson Ruus
born before 1725 in Trankil and was married to Elin Tranea, and a daughter they had was named Anna Gertrude! Ruus, so it looks like this name pattern fits together and they could be part of this Ruus family.

and I don't know what parish he was born in. He moved to Garsås, Mora Kopparberg and married
Anna Andersdotter who was born in 1731 in Garsås
Mora. The had a daughter whose name was Kerstin
Engelbreksdotter(my ancestor)born May 8, 1855 in Garsås Mora.
Engelbrekt Johansson Ruus also was called
Corporal Blom in Mora so his full might of been:
Engelbrekt Johansson Ruus Blom I don't know if the Blom name was added when he was in Mora,
Kopparberg or when he was in Värmland. Thanks for any help.

I looked at the Information that I have about
Johan Jönsson who was born in Karlskrona and I'm
wondering if his birth year should be something like 1689 or 1699 instead of 1669. I got the source of information about him from a cousin
who had found that information in Helge Nyberg's
famijeregister for Medelpad(Y) in Västernorrland.
The information starts in the Parish of Torp(Y).
Here is the information famijeregister:
Märtha Johansdotter, born July 7, 1726 in
Rombäck Torp(Y)her father was:
Johan Jönsson born 1669 in Karlskrona, and his
father was: Jön Gröning. It might be that an error was made in Johan Jönsson's birth year.

I looked at the Mormon Records and that is the
right family and the names and the dates of the
children seem to be correct but the birth dates
for the parents might be wrong because the 1890
census for Västernorrland of Anna Cajsa Kjerf
(Bergström) gives her birhdate as 1813. Carl
Olofson Kjerf born 1769 in Böle, Stöde and Gertrude Jonsdotter born 1759 may have been the parents since the name is the same. I think the
name Kjerf might be a name given to him in the Swedish Navy, I Think that Carl Olofsson Kjerf may have been in the Swedish navy.

I am searching for information about the ancestors
of Erik Gustav Kjerf who probably was born in 1812 and think he was born either in Torp or Stöde. He was married to Anna Cajsa Bergström who was born I think in 1813 maybe in Klostre Torp?. (I'm searching for infornmation about who some of her ancestors are also.).They were married on November 18, 1836 in Stöde, so I think Erik Gustav Kjerf's ancestors may have lived in Stöde.

About the name Holmström,
In Sweden People sometimes had an additional name that had to do with things like the place where they lived, things in nature, or their occupation, and also when a man joined the Swedish army or navy he recieved a sailor's or soldier's name that he used while in the military and went back to his original name when he quit, however some kept that name when they quit. So, there are different reasons to having a additional name. You asked about how Anna Kajsa Jansdotter Holmström's name came to be. Anna was her first name, Kajsa was here middle name and Jansdotter was her last name and Holmström
was the additional last name. The reason she has the name of Jansdotter is because of a Swedish naming Pattern in which a child recieved as a last name, a name that came from the first
name of the father plus the word son (if the child was a boy,) and the word dotter,(Swedish word for daughter)if the child was a girl, so therefore you have Jansdotter,(Jan's+daughter) because she was the daughter of the father Jan.
If the child was a boy then his last name would be Jansson(Jan's+son) because he was the son of the father Jan.
I don't know how the name Holmström originated or
how common it is, but it is one those additional names. Here are the names of your acestors that you listed with a little more information:
Jan Jansson Holmström, born Feb 2 1836
His wife was:
Kajsa Eriksdotter
They were married on March 11, 1859 in Gräsmark.
They had the folowing children:
Erik Olaf Holmström born Dec. 14 1867.
Nils Magnus Hölmström born July 23, 1870.
Anna Kajsa Holström born born Sept. 4, 1879.
August Holmström Sept. 25, 1881.
They might have used the last name Jansson/Jansdotter and or Holmström.
Jan and Kajsa also may have had these two children:
Johannes Holmström born Sept. 26, 1859.
Christina Holmström born Feb. 23 1862.
The father of Jan Jansson Holmström might have been Jan Jansson Skroling, who was married to Katarina Eriksdotter.
Well, hope this helps you with your family tree. Maybe somebody who has a more comple source of records can help you, as a lot of people have excellent sources of the Swedish Church book records who can give you a more detailed list of

I thought the name might me German because there is village in Anhalt Germany called Bobbe. Perhaps the surname Bobbe was somehow ascociated
with that village. Bobbe is also an old English
surname. Bobbe is also Jewish Surname. I think
that my ancestor may have been German. I think that the spelling of the name is correct. I am interested in any more information that anyone may
have about the surname Bobbe.

I had an ancestor whose name was Jon Bobbe. he lived in the 1500's in Älghult, Kronoberg. Is
Bobbe a Swedish surname? or is it from some other country?. Jon Bobbe had a son and his son's name was Ygge Jonsson,(born 1592) who apparently did not keep his fathers surname of Bobbe.

Charlotta Jonsdotter, born July 12, 1834 in Älghult. She married
Gustav Berg, (He also used the name Bergquist), on February 17, 1861 in
Hovmantorp. Gustav Berg was born on September 4, 1838 in Hovmantorp, I dont know who his ancestors are I am searching for information about that also. They moved to Madesjö, in Kalmar. Their daughter was:
Ida Carolina Bergguist, born on December 22, 1861 Ruskemåla, Madesjö Kalmar.
She married:
Carl Alfred Andersson, he was born September 13, 1855 in Gislatorp, Madesjö
Kalmar. They emigrated to the U.S. about 1881. First they lived in Pennsylvania, U.S. then they moved to Minnesota, U.S. Their daugther's name
was: Johanna Charlotta Andersson, (My Grandmother), she was born in 1882 in Triumph, Pennsylvania U.S. I have much more I can
e-mail to you. I am interested in information about the ancestors of
Charlotta Jonsdotter's parents. If you have those branches, I would be very

I am searching for information about the ancestors of Lisa Stina Mattsdotter, who had been living in Hällesjö Jämtland and was married to Paulus Salmonsson. She was born in March 1, 1820 but there are no birth records for her in Hällesjö, however there was a Lisa Stina Mattsdotter christend on March 5, 1820 in Torp Medelpad and her parents were Mats Jonsson and Christina Johansdotter but I dont know when they were born or who their parents were. Anders Andersson, born Sept. 10, 1796 in Överhönäs, Själevad married to:
Stina Olsdotter, born 1805 in Själevad.
They had the following children:
1. Anders Andersson, born Oct 12, 1831 in Överhörnäs, Själevad.
2. Märta Andersdotter, born July 1, 1833 in Överhörnäs, Själevad.
3. Olof Andersson, born 1835 Överhörnäs, Själevad.
That's all the information I have about that family. It seems that a naming pattern was in use here so, I'm wondering if Stina's parents were a
Märta Abramsdotter and Olof Olofsson in Själevad. They Had a daughter named Stina, who was born in
1805 in Själevad. I am very interested in the information you have about Anders Andersson's
ancestors also.
