Simon!
Unfortunately, some of the vital church records for Hällestad in Skåne are not availavle, eg. birth 1864 and the census covering 1846-1882.
However, I looked through the census (records of catechetical) covering 1883-18891 and I found a very large Sjögren family on No 24 Hällestad were some of the children have been noted as moved out:
Merchant Martin Sjögren, born 1829 in Hällestad
Wife Bothelia Bunth, born 1843 in Gjörsläf
Children:
D. Maria Lovisa, 1863
D. Anna Sofia, 1865
S. Gustaf Henning, 1867
S. Ernst Oscar, 1870
S. Carl Alfred Magnus, 1871
S. Tage Alfred, 1875
D. Hilma Amalia, 1877
S. Carl Hugo, 1880 (noted as twin)
S. Frans Rudolf, 1882
In the 1890 census, I have found another two persons with the last name Sjögren (born 1868 and 1869 in Hällestad) who could fit in to this family. That would make it 11 siblings all together
Wilhelm Ernst Sjögren is not mentioned in this family, however there is a possibility that he, at this point, already had left (the records for moving in- and out 1859-1882 are not available).
With the reasons already given, it is rather difficult to examine whatever these are his parents and siblings.
Best of luck / Helene
