Hello from Germany,
I am searching for any information about the Löwenstierna(perhaps the
name is written Löwenstjera) family in Sweden.
From our family tradition is known that the first ancestor (with
family name LÖWE...) had come from Sweden. His origin was a noble
Swedish family LÖWENSTIERNA. The reason and date for emigration from
Sweden is unknown. I think that the time period of emigration from
Sweden was approximately between 1630 and 1720. On internet I found an
interesting page
(http://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trefningen_ved_Gjellebekk) where Oberst
Dietrich Johan Löwenstierna is mentioned. Unfortunately the text is
not available in English so I could understand only some words.
Does anyone have information on cv of Oberst Dietrich Johan Löwenstierna?
