Occupation names

Plese help me understand what these people did for a living:
 
klockare  (I found Klock--clock or watch, but not klockare. I think this man was a parish clerk when he died.  Does Klockare refer to that?)
 
Karbiniär
 
Artillerist (soldier?)
 
Jorbruksarbetare (agricultural worker?)

(Klocka means bell as well as clock or watch.)
 
Karabiniär means carabinier (see Wikipedia for a description).
 
An artillerist is in the artillery.
 
Like you say, jordbruksarbetare is an agricultural worker - I guess it's the same job that was called farmhand or dräng earlier. (Sort of like saying hygiene technician instead of cleaner?)

Mary, I think we will have to add that a klockare, whenever it was, as a writer and reader, sometimes had to teach writing and reading too.

I think klockare is best translated as sexton, a layman elected and payed by the local church assembly to deal with maintenance and other mundane parts of the church service. In Sweden his duties would often include functioning as a parish clerk and primary teacher. His social position would be fairly respectable, even if he never would belong to the wealthiest farmers and would be socially far removed from the clergy and their families.
