Military action or epidemics in Hjarsas 1810-1840?

My great-grandfather, Nils Persson of Hjarsas, had two brothers who died relatively young. We do not think either was married. I am wondering if there were any known epidemics during this time, or if they might have been soldiers killed in military conflicts. Would there have been any other probable causes of death for young men their age?  The two brothers were:
 
Anders Persson, b. 1810, d. April 1, 1836.
Ored Persson, b. 1819, d. November 10, 1840.
 
Their parents were Per Oredsson, b. 1779,d. May 90, 1847, and Elna Andersdotter, b. 1791, d. April 20, 1855.  Both parents outlived their sons.

Since the parish archives have been destroyed by fire it is not possible to find their causes of death. But we have not had a military conflict since 1814 so that can be ruled out. Mortality was high in those days, the most common cause of death being infectious disease. Tuberculosis och some kind of typhoid fever can be suspected.
