The records for Stora Tuna are now probably kept in the Provincial Archives (Landsarkivet) of Uppsala, but are also available on microfilm through the Family History Centers (Mormon) throughout the US.
 
But it is also possible that the Parish office has microfiche copies and can answer questions that do not require extended research.

Leif, that's so nice of you to offer to help!  If it's not *too* much trouble, here's who I'm looking for:
 
Marriage:
- Peter William QUIST + Anna Louise BOHOLM, probably about 1880s, most likely in Stora Tuna because at least 3 of 4 children were born there.
 
Births:
- About 1887?, Helga QUIST.
- 9 Dec 1889, Anna Wilhelmina QUIST.
- 21 Apr 1894, Carl (Karl?) William QUIST.
- 4 Oct 1896, Signe Sofia QUIST.

Hallo Lawana!
I´ve found the following information. The family moved from Garpenbergs prish to Stora Tuna 1889-10-28. They lived in a village in Stora Tuna called Borlange (where I live now). Peter Wilhelm Kvist was an iron-worker, he was born 1859-06-21 in Persbo, Garpensbergs parish as son to the worker Anders Gustaf Jonsson and Lisa Persdotter. Anna Lovisa Boholm was born 1857-07-09 in the perpetual curates farm in Grytnas, Avesta parish. Her mother was a maid there and her name was Lovisa Boholm also.
Peter and Anna married 1889-10-26.

Leif!  I'm absolutely stunned!!  I can't thank you enough - my Grandad told my Dad many many years ago that the name was changed to Quist from 'Jonson', but my Dad didn't believe it! This is just so amazing, I can't wait to call my Dad and tell him.  (This also tells me I'd better start researching under 'KVIST', not just 'QUIST'.)

Does anyone in Borlange know of any descendants of Johan Albert Liden,born Oct. 29.1874 in Folkarna to Pers Andersson and Anna Abrahmsdotter. He was married to Anna Mathilda Johansson on Dec. 13, 1901.  She was born Jan. 23, 1880.  They had four children:  Erik Georg, b. 9/22/1902;  Albert Hugo, b. 9/4/1904; Ellen Margareta, b. 7/21/1907; Birgit Maria, b. 4/23/1920; Johan Albert and family moved to Stora Tuna 9/16/1924.  Albert Hugo Liden died 1984-01-25 in Borlange.  Ellen Margareta was married to an Ekstrom and died 1992-11-27 in Borlange.  Birgit Maria married Ake Harry Svensson.  She was born in Uppsala and died 1984-10-30.  I am looking for children or grandchildren of any of these people and would like very much to make contact.
