Ora, Stockholm

Is there a place called Ora in the Stockholm area?  Am needing to find which parish Ora would be in.

There is an Ore parish in the same area as Våmhus, in the province of Dalarna. It may be that parisk you're asking about, rather than Orsa (as Anki suggested).

There is a place called Orhem, just outside Stockholm.
BUT Daraleen, can you tell what kind of dokument you are reffering to? Does it say Ore parish?
 
Maybe it is the parish in Dalarna (Dalecarlia) and it is not in the Stockholm area. Some mistake?

There is a place Ora, not that far from Stockholm. About 10 Swedish miles north/east. The nearest parish is Tuna in the province of Uppsala. Could be the place you are looking for.

Thank you everyone for your responses and suggestions.  I am trying to help a lady find her family in Sweden and she says Margarett Jonson was born 14 June 1845 in Ora, Stockholm, Sweden to John Ericson and Margarett Jonson.  The information on the parentage comes from Margarett's marriage application in Nebraska, USA, but she hasn't said where the information on Ora comes from.   Margarett came to the US in 1870 and married that same year.  The man she married appears to be from Indor, Dalarna so it seems possible Margaret was from Ore, Dalarna.  Any help will be appreciated.

Unfortunately the Emigrant CD wasn't helpful about the parish or even län in this case. I found two possibilities on the cd. Omaha is in Nebraska, so maybe that one is yours.

This site gives ideas on how to find Swedish origins of early emigrants. I strongly recommend the Swenson Swedish Immigration Research Center but they don't have online records. That Swenson Center is one of the resources mentioned in the following article.
