Where is Vanadisroten, rote 21? I can't find it anywhere. Mentioned in an 1896 move from Klara parish, Stockholm.

I hope Sam finds a map for us but look what I found online when I put Stockholms roteindelning into www.google.com. It is only in Swedish but it relates the rote to a parish within the city of Stockholm.

Rote 21 Vanadisroten var en utbrytning ur rote 8 och omfattade norra delen av det område som från 1906-05-01 ingick i Johannes församling. Roten bildad 1893-01-01.

Judy,
  I found that the rote system started in 1878 with Stockholm divided into 16 areas, expanded to 35. Abolished in 1926. Sure would help to be able to identify the parishes at a given time by number. Hard to read some of them on that map, but I saved it anyway. Hope Sam can help.

Even without knowing a word of Swedish, you should be able to figure out that site I mentioned. The parish name comes in front of the word församling. Each rote is numbered and the name of the rote is the first word and roten ends that word.
 
Obtain a dictionary and the rest of the information for each rote is easy to figure out, but you really only need what I've written in the first paragraph to know the parish in which each rote is located.
 
I think that site is fantastic. I wish I had noticed it before.
