Undenäs parish records before 1782

The FHL church records for Undenäs parish begin in 1782 for the Husförhörslängd, and in 1766 for Födde, Vigde and Döde. Where would one find the records before those dates?

According to the Sveriges församlingar genom tiderna the Husförhörslängder do start in 1782, but the birth records should start in 1689. Perhaps you can find them if you look again in the catalog?

These are the records which can be ordered from a Family History Center. As Elisabeth says, parish registers for births begin in 1689.

Jessica, these are the ordinary church records for Undenäs, that we here in Sweden get hold of through SVAR. Our American cousins can find them through the Mormon Family History Centers.

You need to go to the Family History Center and order the films there. They will contact you when the films arrive and you need to view the films at the Family History Center.
 
The cost at my Family History Center is $3.25 per microfilm for a month's rental. Mine has a microfilm/fiche copier. Cost for copies at my local Family History Center is 25 cents per copy.
 
You can search in their computers to see what you can find for your parish (or other localities, or other types of information) at the Family History Center or you can print out what you want to order using the online Family History Catalog.
