The very first entry is for an Olof (?) b. 1812.  I cannot make out his full name.  Thanks in advance to whomever can help.

GID should be 2685.3.63300 - the name might be Olof Gard, it is a little more readable in the Norderö HFL AI:3 1839-1848 page 49 (GID 2685.9.43800).

Just thought I would add some extra info to the info that Bo has posted. First of all I haven't been able to find how or where the Gard surname started. Olof's birth record at GID: 2685.12.72300, page 239 clearly shows that he was the son of Soldat Abraham Westin b Mar 6 1772, d Nov 11 1827 and Margreta Jönsdotter b 1775. This would mean that his real name was Olof Abrahamsson. this can be clearly seen on the HFL 1813-1824 record at GID: 2685.7.24100, page 16.

THis was my initial finding as well. but I have run across the Gard reference as well.  Perhaps there is some significant event that triggered a name change?
 
Don, or anyone else for that matter, I could also use some advice on tracking down an unknown father. One of my lines in the Gideå parish dead ends as the father is listed as unknown. This occurred in 1850's and I'm hoping it was considered some sort of punishable offense with perhaps a court record or something that would lead to a name.
