Cecilia Nelson's Atelier. Established 1888, in business 1911 (proprietor Hans Olsson)

Carl de Sh?rengrad, Malmö's most prominent photographer in the 1860's. Born 1 nov 1834, died 24 march 1878. Refugee from Serbia. Came to Malmö in the fall 1864. Established 26 oct 1864

Peter Karlsson (Peterk)

Otto Pettersson also seems to be an early photographer according to pictures in Porträttfynd here in Rötter..
The 1890 census mentions a photographer 'Otto Anton Em. Pettersson Schoutz' born i Lund 1860 - but this 'Otto Pettersson' must be an older photographer, propably ded before 1890, as his pictures seems to be from late 1860's to the 1880's.

Thanks for the information!  I have one more question about the Carl de Sh?rengrad photographer.  Is it possible that the studio stayed open after his death in 1878?  The photograph that I am trying to date seems to be from the mid-1880's - taken directly before the young couple emigrated.  If it was taken in the 1870's or 1860's, then the picture is of the former generation.  Thanks in advance!

Thanks Roul.
I also have a picture that has no photograher's name or place in Sweden. The picure is outlined in gold and is about 14cm by 10.5 cm, pasted on light brown cardboard. Under the picure it says Cabinet Fotografi in gold with some sort perhaps crest separating Cabinet and Fotografi.  The picure is of a gentleman with black top hat, long black fitted coat in one hand holding a pair of gloves and fancy walking stick. He has a short beard only on chin with a handle bar muustache. The other arm is holding arm of woman with black lace shawl, holding what looks like a parasol. She has a fancy hat on and is also very fancily dressed. The couple looks to be in about their 40's (years old.
Anyone have any clues???

Ögren´s was already about 1866 in Falköping, owned by three sisters Ögren: Anna Lovisa, Clara, and Johanna Maria Ögren.

I found a picture for sale at http://www.tradera.com/UNIKT_Ateljefoto_Karl_XV_Jaktlag_fran_1860_talet_Ateliefo to-auktion-72244588

The company was situated near the railway station. a place called Ranten-

I have a picture myself from about 1868 taken by Ögren´s showing my great grandparents and their children.
