I am trying to find if my 4th great-grandmother, Maja Pettersdotter, is the daughter of Petter Hagelund and Kajsa of Hallersboda. I found the family in the 1789 household rolls GID: 1763.52.42200. Question, what does it say before Petter Hagelund's name? GID: 1763.5.48600 and 1763.40.60600 has the parents still in Hallersboda. Can't translate the word before Petter's name again. I found Kaisa's death 10 Apr 1810 at 75 GID: 1763.19.49200, but haven't found Petter's as yet. I scanned 1807-1835 without seeing him. I know he was alive in 1806.
The reason I think Maja may be their daughter is on GID: 1763.19.15800 at the birth of Sven Andersson and wife Maja's son Ola, I see the name Kaisa from Hagelunds in Hallersboda. Kaisa was Maja's mother's name. Any help greatly appreciated. Karen

1763.52.42200 (HFL 1789) I'm not sure there is a title, it could be part of the placename Hallersboda Enroullerings Torp. Or it is a difficult-to-read title...

In the 1801-1804 communion book (GID 1763.22.90100) his title is definitely Copwaerdi k.

1763.5.48600 (HFL 1802-1804) I see his title as Copw.k. for Copvaerdie-kapten (merchant skipper)

1763.40.60600 (HFL 1805-1810) Perhaps Cophardi kapt.

1763.19.49200 (death book) the date is 10 Apr 1812, the husband's title is Sjöman (sailor), and she is wife, not widow, which should mean he is alive.

Have you seen Maja's birth date in a later HFL and compared with the birth record?

I see Maja and her husband in the 1802-0804 HFL at Signemåla (GID 1763.5.49900). They have a daughter Ingrid, age 7.

Ingrid seems to be in the birth book 23 March 1795 (GID 1763.19.11400) as daughter of Maja Pettersdotter from Hallersboda. I see no father mentioned.

I think this also indicates that Maja may be daughter of Petter Hagelund and Kajsa.

In the 1812 HFL (GID 1763.6.79400) at Hallersboda, Kajsa is dead and Petter Hagelund bortflyttad (moved away).

In the 1812 HFL (GID 1763.6.80900) at Signemåla, the widow Maija is recorded as born 1770-02-27, one of her children is Ola born 1804-05-12.

There is a birth 27 (or 24?) Feb 1770 (GID 1763.19.900), Maria, daughter of Petter Hagelund and Caisa at Fonåsboda(??). Note that many Hagelund people among the witnesses.

One more sign that your Maja is daughter of Petter Hagelund and Kajsa.

Bo,
Thank you so much. I, too, believe that Maja is the daughter of Petter Hagelund, but I just want to be sure before I enter her into my genealogy program. LDS records have her birth date as 24 Feb 1770 and christening same day? Maybe the 27 is her christening day. My mistake with year of Kaisa's death, it is 1812. I assume that Petter probably is recorded in some other parish as he moved away. In the 1805-1810 Household rolls, GID: 1763.40.58200 Sven and Maja have 2 sons, Anders and Ola and a daughter Ingrid age 10. There is something written after Ingrid's age. I can't make it out. Maja and Sven were married 19 May 1795, only a few months after Ingrid's birth.
Thank you so much for all your help. Much appreciated, Karen

Bo,
I looked at that birth record for Ingrid. There is a notation in the margin to the left of her entry. Can't make it out. I don't see a öä anywhere to indicate she was out-of-wedlock. If she is Sven Andersson's child, would it be recorded somewhere that he acknowledges that she is his and would there be an absolution to Maja after she married? They married only two months after her birth.
I also found another son born in 1808, Petter.

Have you seen that the Kristianopel 1805-1810 HFL is in sections? 1805 from page 1 (GID 1763.40.56800), 1806 from page 69 (GID 1763.40.60200), etc?

So GID 1763.40.58200 is 1805, in 1806 they are on page 97 (GID 1763.40.61600). The text in the narrow columns is usually about reading and christian knowledge, perhaps also about vaccination. There are column headers on page 1, but they are difficult to read.

Maja's birth: the text in the birth record is difficult to read, it could be birth 24 or 27 Feb 1770, with emergency baptism the same day (GID 1763.19.900). Then the baptism was confirmed in church on 4 March.

Maybe someone read the date as 24, and someone else as 27.
