Can someone tell me where #13 Johanna Catherina Andersdtr and her daughter moved-in from? It looks like ?rötuna. Where do I look for that?
I'm trying to find out where and when Per Jansson, 1811 20/12 died. The last I found him was in the household rolls for Gillingsudden, Hyltinge, Södermanland, but I don't see him in the death records there.
Thank you, Karen

The location appears to be Frötuna, which is in Stockholms län, I think.

It looks like Frötuna, which is a parish in Stockholm county, Uppland province.

Perhaps you should also check Frustuna parish in Södermanland.

Where (GID etc.) did you last see Per Jansson?

Last GID:184.20.84000 says family moved out  1837 to Ludgo, but unfortunately, the moving-in records for that year are missing, as are the household rolls. I did check Frustuna. When Johanna Catherina moved-in to Gryt in 1848, she was a widow.
Thanks, Judy and Bo.

I found the family in Frötuna on a Uti socken list. GID: 2560.30.67300. Nearest I can self-translate, this means both into and from outside the parish.I had almost given up trying to locate them within the parish. I had found the Uti socken on Per's death first. Out of despiration and just plain luck, I clicked on the people index at the end of the household roll and, surprise, there was Uti socken. Who would be on these lists and not on the regular village lists? Perhaps transients?
I found Per Jonsson Amnell died 29.3.1847 here, GID:2560.42.42000. This is the first time I found the Amnell name being used in this family. It is found many times after this. If I'm correct, his cause of death is cholera. Was this common?

Uti is a more elaborate version of i (in).

Uti socknen means in the parish. It is most probably the same as the på socknen skrivne in other parishes, a list of people living in the parish but without fixed address.

The remark seems to be Oenige makar (disunited spouses), hustrun och barnen vistas i Hyllinge (the wife and children stay in Hyllinge), then something about Malmköping and Boxtorp(?), perhaps they are places in Hyllinge.

Note that the family had come 1845 from page 116, that is in the previous HFL (GID 2560.29.15500), and the had come 1843 from page 227 (GID 2560.29.27300), where the hade come 1842 from Lidingö(?).

The cause of death looks like Frossa (shivers), could it mean malaria?

Thanks, Bo.
Yes, frossa means malaria. I don't know why I wrote cholera.
This family sure moved around alot. I never realized they did that back then. My Finnish ancestors seemed to stay in the same parishes for generations.
Johanna Catherina's parents were in Hyltinge parish and I've found numerous moves back and forth for Johanna and her daughters to them through the years.
I'll look at those other GID's. Karen

Frossa means that the person was shivering and this symptom may most typically be caused by malaria but also other  infections such as septicemia.

Bo,
I looked at those two other household rolls. I found the death of Anders Peter, Johanna Sophia's brother from drowning in 1845 from one of them. I had wondered what happened to him as he wasn't on any of the later rolls. The Boxtorp turned out to be Bägstorp in Gryt parish. They had moved there from Ludgo parish. It looks they moved frequently between Hiltinge, Ludgo and Gryt parishes in addition to the Frötuna move.
I then searched for the birth of Pehr Jonsson and found that. Found another reference to the Amnell name there. One of the sponsors at his baptism was a Pehr Amnell and wife from Dalarne.
I also found the birth of Johanna Catherina and their marriage records, both in Hyltinge parish.
Amazing how working backwards finds more info.
