I'm wanting any census info (or other info from the time period) of 1880 or thereabouts, for Ostergotlands, Valdemarsvik/Tryserum area for my following relatives,

I don't know where you found the last name for Wilhelmina Juliana. I checked her birth and baptism record on Genline.

I see now where the name Gustafsson came from but Wilhelmina Juliana was not the son or daughter of Gustaf. Her first husband was the son of a man named Gustaf something, according to patronymic naming customs but she probably never called herself Gustafsson. She probably kept her own patronymic name.
 
The father, who you haven't listed and I'm not sure you know his name, was Frans Wilhelm Gustafsson. Remember that the daugher was Fransdotter (daughter of Frans) in one of their records listed above.
 
This appears to be the emigration of the father, as shown on the Emibas CD.

He indeed died 16 July 1883. (Your dates, by the way, had him dying years before he was even born.) He was one year, 9 months, and 4 days old (assuming the priest's math was correct) and died of slag which was something sudden. This is how the SweGGate website defines slag.

slag O (among > 60 different meanings, a common one = a blow) medical diagnosis with several uses but always in connection with a sudden and severe medical crisis. Usually specified like hjärtslag (heart stop), slaganfall ((cerebral) stroke). When used as cause of death as slag it probably referred to a cerebral stroke, easily recognizable through paralysis.
When used in the meaning a blow it was often specified, e.g. slagen af åskan (hit by lightning), sparkad af häst (kicked by a horse), ihjälslagen af svärsonen (killed by the son-in-law).

Elin Sofia's cause of death looks mostly as märg-upplösning which could perhaps be translated as melting of the bone marrow, a most unusual cause of death.

Hi Elisabeth,
 
You are so good at reading these difficult records. I have never seen anything like that cause of death and it sounds horrible.
 
My brother is a pathologist and always says when I tell him various causes of death found in these records: They really didn't know. That is probably quite true since autopsies were not done, most likely, and modern medicine is far ahead of the state of medical knowledge in the old days. However, it is still interesting to know what our ancestors thought caused these deaths.
 
I can't help but wonder how anyone could determine melting of bone marrow.
