Inger is listed as moving into Gustavii parish 4 June 1845 (Personalförteckningar, AIa:4, sid 115). No mention as to where she came from.

Hello Chris/Magnus,
I hope you are both well. I'm not sure if the trail has gone cold or there is still material out there for more research. But did you find any other leads for Ingar Eriksdotter?
Since speaking to my Motherinlaw, the only other extra details she gave me was that her name Irene, was named after Ander's mother. Ander met and married her grandmother Lise in Tonga, then continued to Samoa where they bore 2 children, both boys, Frederick (oldest) born 1886, died 1942 age 56yrs. Charles born 1891, died 1963 age 72yrs.
My motherinlaw's father was Charles.
I'm sorry, i know it may not assist with your research, but i hope you will have any further leads that my assist us in locating Ander's family in Sweden.
Regards,
Jo Moala

Hello

Ingar Eriksdotter lives in 1837 with her brother Jöns Eriksson and his family in Norra Kärragårda. Ingar´s brothers Nils, Johannes and Anders are also living there. They are working at Kärragårda Säteri. I don´t know the english word for säteri. (Johannes is my mfff)

Hälsningar Maria

Hi,

I have been following Ingar's way from Hjärnarp starting with the 1834-1837 household examination roll. In 1833/1834, she's living at Högholmen, Bjällegården, Hjärnarp, with her parents. (Hjärnarp AI:15, page 229). She then moves to page 101 in 1834. Page 101 is Backagården at Verjesby nr 5. She stays there a year before moving to page 215 in 1835. However, she's found on page 216 which is Kärlingehult nr 1. From here, she moves to page 218 in 1837. She moves again in 1838, this time to page 287 (Hjärnarp AI:16, page 295). This is Ugglehult and she only stays here until 1839 when she moves to page 138 in Tostarp parish). This is Norra Kärragård and it's where she was living in 1840. (Tåstarp AI:5, page 138). She is as Maria wrote, living with her brother Jöns Eriksson and his family. In the following volume, (Tåstarp AI:6, page 133) there's a note that she had a child out of wedlock on December 23rd 1840, but the child is not listed with her. Ingar moves to Halmstad in 1841. I found her in the moving records for Halmstads stadsförsamling (Halmstad B:2, incoming 1841, number 43). She is found in Halmstad AI:15, page 149 at No. 107, but there's still no child with her.

I think this means that she must have left her son with someone else fairly soon after his birth, from what I can see, it was not with her parents in Hjärnarp.

Hi Maria,
I found Jöns Eriksson and his family in Ryet nr 2 in the 1851-1865 household examination rolls for Hjärnarp, but there is no Anders born 1840 with them. I also checked with the two other brothers Nils and Per, but he is not with either of their families in 1850s. However, there are many siblings and I do not have information on all of them so it might be that Anders is with one of the other siblings, or perhaps he was given up as a foster child?

Hi Magnus

It was just an idea about Ryet nr 2. There is just one more thing! Do you know where I can find  Harnacka Kalvahage in Hjärnarp? Erik Modig\s father built Appelhuset there. I have looked at old maps, but I can\t find the place.

Hi,

Sorry, I have no idea where Appelhuset might have been located. An idea might be to look for a map and the minutes (protokoll) from lagaskiftet which should mention it.

I have been working my way through Ingar's siblings and have found no trace of her son with her brothers Sven, Påhl, Per, Nils and Johannes nor with her sisters Troen and Pernilla.

The only sibling remaining which Ingar could possibly have left her son with is Jöns (born 1812), the others are too young in 1840. Another possibility could of course be an aunt or an uncle of Ingar's and I have not searched for those yet.

Hello Magnus

I have already looked on all maps conected to Harnacka Kalvahage at Lantmäteriet. And the name Appelhuset is not mention.
About Ingar and her son: If Anders Olofsson is called Olofs-son. Than must his fathers name be Olof or Ohla. But if Anders is a foster child or adopted child is he than still Olofsson?

Hello again
In the church book Barkåkra födda 1793-1856 page: 212
23 of dec 1840 The maid Ingar Eriksdotter give birth to a son. The same day he gives the name Anders Andersson. He is carried by farmhand Anders Andersson's wife Troen Eriksdotter at Engeltofta. Whitness farmhand Johannes Eriksson and the maid Bengta Pehrsdotter in Errarp. The mother is 21 years.

Can it be like this! Ingar Eriksdotter goes to her sister Pernilla Eriksdotter (married to Pehr Nilsson)to have her baby. At that time Ingar's and Pernilla's brother Johannes is a farmhand and living by his sister Pernilla and her husband. The woman who carried the baby can be a sister. I have not be able to find Anders Andersson and his wife Troen Eriksdotter to see if Ingar's son is living with them.
Maria
