According to the information I have been able to find my 2nd great grandfather, Jons Svenson, his wife Nella Svensdotter and their two children immigrated to the United States in 1871. They filed the act of immigration in the church records on 9 May 1871 in Gammalstorp, Blekinge, Sweden and were in Sterling, Illinois in the United States before 1 July 1871 when their third child was born. I am unable to find what ship or what port they sailed from. I checked at the immigrant house and was not able to find anything there. Any suggestions on where/how I can find additional information on this family?
