I?m searching for my grandma?s aunt - Anna Angelina Ingeborg Johansson born in Hogsby, Sweden 16 april 1890. The Swedish emigrant institute has already tried to help me by looking in several databases both in Sweden and in USA. Father: Johan August Nilsson. Mother: Hilda Gustava Johansdotter. She left Sweden 23 september 1908 by SS Orlando to Grimsby, England, then by SS Lucania from Liverpool to New York City where she arrived october third. She aimed for Chicago where she was going to her uncle named Chas Carlson, 5712 Abedine St. to houseworking
She has no uncle named that, though.
She?s not found in US census 1910-1930. Not in Social security Death index either.

If you are lucky, she is on this database. Only some of these people have a Chicago or Illinois  connection. (Of course she might not have worked too long and if so, she wouldn't have worked under Social Security. She might also be listed under another given name, depending on which one she preferred. Check out the advanced search on this site and enter the birthdate and additional given names, one at a time.

There are too many Social Security applications to order at the price of $27 each, but those applications provide names of parents, birth places (generally very specific), etc.so they make a great confirmation that the right person has been found.
 
Perhaps someone with census access can check out these last names to see if the wife was born in Sweden. That should eliminate a lot of possibilities.
 
If she married in Chicago fairly quickly, then a husband could be found using various microfilms  
which might just be available in the Family History Centers found in the Chicago area and otherwise might need to be ordered from Salt Lake City. That is why I am asking which specific databases have been checked for you.
