Looking for information on Hanna Olsdotter b10.21.1834

GID 1302.26.66400

I can't read all the names.  Interested in the brothers and sisters.  Ola ahl was a soldier of some type.  where they might have moved.   Any help would be great I can search the recorde on line if I know the parish?  The names in cursive are difficult to decipher.  Thanks again for all your help. Is there a way to determine if Ahl was a soldier name?  Also would the last name of the children be Olasson/Olasdotter or Olsson/Olsdotter?

Thanks

A little more information

GID 1302.28.98700
lists Jöns, Hanna, Nils, Bengta, Botilla, and Maria as children

GID 1302.37.34800
lists all the above minus Jöns and addition of Ola.

GID 1302.45.2100 lists the family minus Kjersti Nilsdotter and and Nils

I didn' see any records of them moving or I didn't understand what I was looking for.  Just looking for another push in the right direction.  I know Hanna Olsdotter (Ahl) married Magnus Nilosson Lindqvist and came to Minnesota.  I have an old family record indicating more family just looking for information

Thanks again

Ola Ahl was soldier at Skånska Dragonregementet , belonged to division Östra Sallerup and later on division Torna.
source :  Skånska Knektregistret (CD)
A dragon - in English dragoon - is in the cavalry.
Appears he was born in Lyby, some place within the parish, but I am not 100% sure. Perhaps it is Klinta - . Last name can be either /or as you think. Ola= Olof.

Thanks Bo

I am having difficulties deciphering dates of Birth for the children listed above.

Ola=Olof?  So when searching I could look up Hanna Olafsdotter and so on? Do you know if the family would have all adopted the Ahl surname or is that uncommon?

Thanks again

Doubt the daughter was called  Maria - but Marna, so information above re a Maria is not correct. You mentioned GID 1302.45.2100  - here we have important information re. moving outs...
son Ola to Lyby nbr 8, Lyby parish;
Hanna to Hörby 13 (Hörby parish)
Marna to Högseröd ( a parish)
Bengta to Lyby 8 (within Lyby parish)
Botilla to same as Bengta;
Hanna to Hörby nbr 1 (Hörby parish)
år = year  (62 = 1862 and so on)
I am curious about emigration of more than one, but have not the EMIBAS Cd, but sure you can get help from others this message board.

If you mention their DOB:s it will be rather easy to do lookups.There are ratehr good ones in the GID mentioned - i.e  1302.45.2100.

The son Ola b. 1847  is found  at GID  1271.17.32800
he was soldier, too,  As you can see he called himself Ola Olsson Ahlberg!

At line 26 (bottom) of the page we find Ola senior.

the place is Ousby 4, Hörby parish.

Have to stop for now.

one other question

GID 1302.8.46000
and GID 1302.8.45600

Show Botilla Olsdtr married to Nils Nilsson.  Leaving for N Amerika in 1969.  Is that what it reads?  Also is there a common nickname for Botilla or/what would it equate to in English.
Also it is noted that they had 2 children Anders and Christina.

Thanks

I also couldn't find Jöns or nils leaving the Parish in the above GIDs.  1302.28.98700 last list Jöns I am curious if maybe he died .  Also Nils and Kjerstin nilsdotter are not listed as dead or moved

thanks

The marriage - exactly as you said. Botilla - Botilda is nowadays Bodil. Perhaps a nickname here would be Bolla.

The only thing to do is to run book of deaths for Jöns, if you are unable to follow him in clerical surveys. Dödbok is the Swedish name for that record.

Look into GID  1302.47.15000  right side nbr 15, showing Nils Nilsson --and 2/ 2  i.e. 4 people, thus also children. Emigration thru Copenhagen Denmark very likely.

Thanks for the info.  I don't know if there are common substitutes for Swedish names when people (family members) came to Minnesota or USA.

Steven,

Have you seen this page from SweGGate?

Our ancestors didn't always use common substitutes, however.
