I\m searching for George Oscar Björk, born 1889-02-05 in Bro (Bohuslän Sweden). He emigrated fr Gothenburg 1905-04-07 and arrived to Boston 1905-04-21 by Saxonia from Liverpool. His uncle Alfred Carlsson 5353 Emerald Ave Chicago has payed his ticket and I think George vas going to visit him in Chicago.
Can anyone help me to find out what happened vith George over there?!
Did he married or what happened??
I\ll be thankfull for all help!

Perhaps wrong person, but I would like to point at a man from WW1-draft.

He's name is George Oscar, born Feb 5, 1889 in Lysekil Bohuslän. BUT his last name is Nelson, not Björk. Is it possible that George Oscar's father was Nils.

This man is a teamster in Seattle,Washington, he is married with 2 children.

Can I propose that you check whether any George Oscar was born in Lysekil the same day as your George Oscar was born in Bro (guess the two parishes are close to each other)

Now I have called it up and my George Oscars mother was Augusta Karlsdotter. George born in Lysekil has another mother.

On the 1920 census there is a listing for a Georg Bgork or Bjork (the database has it listed both ways).  He was 30 years old, single, and lived on west 108th Street in Manhattan, New York. Because he was living in an rooming house, the year of immigration was not known.  That George worked as a salesman in a grocery.
After work today I'll see if there is a listing in the 1910 or 1930 censuses.  No time now.  Maybe someone else has the time to look.

I think I found the same man in the 1930 census.  He was 40 years old, married and lived in New York city, NY, but listed his name as Oscar Bjork this time.  His wife was 43 years old, and they had a 4 year old son, Paul Bjork.  Oscar was a carpenter.  The problem arises with the year of immigration because this Oscar Bjork says he came in 1901, so I guess these New York Bjorks are not the person you are looking for.
  Off to work now.

As you say Karen, I don?t think Oscar is the right man. I hope you or someone else can find my George Bjork. I?m sure that he arrived to USA in 1905 when he was 16 years old.
