Parents (from Statistics Sweden list of births 1865) Leo Lars (no surname) and Lovisa Jansdotter, solder?s people at Stränggården, Vårkumla (a tiny parish in south west Sweden) He was actually born Jan 12 according to this list, to confirm the original book should be used, but that is not on-line yet. The mother was 34 yeaasr of age.
The household register (very messily written) says that the father was Lars Leo, Leo being the surname, b 5 sept 1828, probably at Hallagården in the parish. Wife Lovisa Fahlström (patronymics were sometimes preferred by the priest) born in Falköping 22 June 1830. There were 4 older sisters; anna Mathilda, Maria, Gustava, Ida Charlotta and a brother, Axel E? b 1862 who died 1864.
The Register of Soldiers has this information on the father (soldiers got new names when they joined):
Leo, Lars [Andersson] patronymic: son of Anders
Born: 1828-12-08 (different to that above, I tend to believe this)
Wife: Fahlström Lovisa
Born: 1830-06-22
Regiment: Västgöta regemente
company: LASKE
Parish: Vårkumla
Section (farm that paid for the soldier): Stränggården
Axel lived in Stockholm before he left, the last two years in Old Town in the centre. He was a laborer (arbetare)
