Emmigration of Albert Forslund in 1888

Good morning,
 
I am trying to locate the birth place of Albert Forslund, who was born 04 Apr 1864 in Sweden (I do not know where). His father was Carl Forlund and mother was Bathilda unknown. He emmigrate to British Columbia  in 1888. I have traced all his movements from his arrival in Canada in 1888 to his death in 19 November 1938 in Vancouver, British Columbia.
 
I have not found his immigration record in the various passenger lists and would like to locate his birthplace and parents.
 
Any ideas would be much appreciated,

The SVAR site has a Karl Forslund married to a Bothilda in the 1880 Swedish Census, which isn't completely transcribed. I don't see an Albert in that family but research them in the Swedish parish records and maybe he is part of this family.

I have no idea if this is your family but all the children had names beginning with A, so Albert would fit, and there is enough of a gap between Amanda and August that a child born in 1864 could fit in.

I actually meant to mention the gap between Amanda and Alma. Children were born about every two years in those days. Part of them might have died or left home.
 
What are some towns where Albert lived (or lived near) in British Columbia?

There was an Adolf(!!) Forslund b. 4 April 1864 in Riseberga, appears he belonged to the family mentioned by Judy.
GID 1694.76.64100.
I have not checked book of births yet, maybe the pastor has entered wrong first name.

That is very interesting - I need to trace the HFL from Adolf's birth to see when and where he moves to when he leaves his family.
 
I have two conflicting years of immigration of Albert Forslund into Canada - 1888 which is from his 1938 death record  and 1890 which is from the 1901 BC census. On reflection I think 1890 is more likely.  
 
Albert Forslund was captain of the 'Rossland' and the 'Minto', two of the most famous steam boats on the CPR inland lakes and river service. He worked on the boats from 1890 to 1925. He and his wife, Alfrida Matilda, owned a fruit ranch at Edgewood which is on the Arrowhead lakes and lived there until their home burned down about 1930. At which time they moved to Vancouver. They married at Nakusp in 1900 and had three children, Alfrida Maria (1901), Robert Oscar (1902) & Frederick Albert (1920).

Adolf Forslund moved from page 510 (GID:1694.78.17600) to page 1075 on 5 November 1889 (GID:1694.79.67800 – line 4)
There is a note which reads ‘Silsingar se pag 309 America??’ – but he does not appear on page 309?
 
Is there an emigration record for Adolf Forslund moving to America?

According to the EMIGRANTEN database, one Adolf Forslund, 25, a labourer, emigrated 1890 Feb.27th. by way of Copenhagen to Winnipeg in Canada.

The note about Adolf Forslund is not Silsingar it should be Helsingör (a port in Denmark, close to the swedish coast). The note p 309 Amerika is noted on the next line belonging to Axel Persson b 1864.

Thank you for that look-up. I'll try and find him in the passengers lists.
 
It does look like he is the same person - same birthdate and parent names and all his sibling names starting with the letter 'A' - What I need to do now is to find out why Adolf changed his name to Albert!

I had a relative by the name of Axel, who in Australia is listed as Alfred all the time. My theory is, that Axel, Adolf, Albert, Alfred and a few otherswere all known as Al in the US and in other Englsih-speaking countries. Al was then converted back to what official thought it came from, Albert in your case, Alfred in mine.

Where in America did Alma Forslund (born 22 Apr 1866 in Riseberga, Kristianstads) emmigrate to in October 1889?  
She is one of the previously mentioned sisters of Adolf/Albert Forslund.  
Did any of his other siblings go to America? They were August (born 11 Oct 1859), Amanda (born 14 Jan 1862) & Alfred (born 3 May 1872).
