She born 23 Dec 1857 to Adolfo Fredrik Abrahamson and Johanna Johansdotter in  
Hjulhemmet, Vastra Ny, Ostergotland, Sweden.
 
She had at lest one daughter Sigrid M Jonson or Peterson who imigrated 3/28/1900.
 
Can you see who Hilda's husband was and what all children did they have.  Who else immigrated?

The mother was Adolf's daughter, so her last name would have been Adolfsdotter, not Abrahamsdotter or Abrahamnsson, most likely.

Arb. (worker) Anton Fredrik Jonsson, born 23 December 1842 in Godegård, married 21 September 1878, (plus some comments,etc. that I'll let the Swedes deal with. The gist is that the children aren't baptised because of the parents's refusal??, perhaps. There is a word I don't know.)

They must not have wanted their children to be baptised in the Lutheran Church.
 
They were married 21? September 1878.
 
 
In all of these records so far, the father has the same month and day of birth as the wife, which still seems unlikely to me. Keep working backwards in the records to check this out.

Thank you for such a quick reply.  You amaze me once again.  When I have the time I will have to subscribe to Genline for a few months and get all the missing data.  I have tried it before in the past but it didn't have much for me at that time.
 
You did a wonderful job and it is much appreciated.  I will pass this on to others that are working on same line.  
 
My mother told me that the reason the Abrahamson's immigrated was due to religious persacution.  They wanted to practice Baptist Religion.  So maybe that was still a problem for there eldest daughter and her children at the time.  Seems a bit strange to me.

When Elsa Fredrika moves out she is called Jonsson, not Antonsdotter.  
 
It is quite correct that both Anton Fredrik and Hilda Gustava were born on Dec 23rd.
 
The Hfl:s on Genline end at about 1895-1899, so I can't see what happened later than 1899.
It is however quite clear that both Hilda's parents and at least a couple of her siblings emigrated.

Until about 1860 you were only allowed one religion in Sweden: Lutheranism. There were a couple of exceptions, namely Jews and Catholics. No one was allowed to convert but if an immigrant happened to be a Jew or a Catholic they were allowed to keep their faith from the late 18th century (before this it was not allowed).
In 1862 you were allowed to convert to a few approved Christian faiths: baptist was one of them. However, while it was allowed in law, it was not at all liked by the clergy (and usually frowned upon by the neighbours) in rural communities. In the cities most people didn't care (except super conservative Göteborg of course).
But it was not until after WW II that Sweden had true religious freedom. Well, you were still born into the state church, but you could get out and did not have to enter any other religion. In 2000 (only 6 years ago) the state church was abolished. But more than 80% of the Swedes still belong to the Swedish church.
In the old days lots of emigrants had religious constraint as one of their reasons for emigrating - still, the very first thing the majority of them did when they arrived in their new country was to trot off to the nearest Lutheran church...

We now trying to confirm that Hilda was only sibling to remain behind in Sweden.
 
We think her daughter Sigrid is only child to leave.

I also searched (fairly superficially) for Elsa Fredrika but didn't see any entries that were the right age for her.  It's possible she did emigrate -- both of my grandparents did in 1892 and 1893, and neither are in Emihamn.

Thanks for look up Carl.  Elsa Fredrika died in Sweden in 1973.
 
But, what ever happened to Matheus Ferdinand b. 18 Dec 1888?  No other info given.

Unfortunately I'm not finding anyone with a name close to Matheus Jonsson or Matheus Antonsson who is the correct age.  The only other Jonssons I found emigrating from V NY parrish are Anna K age 16 in 1894, and A A age 20 in 1888, neither of whom are in the above list of your family compiled by Ingela Martenius from the husförhörslängd.  
 
Since the husförhörslängd rolls end in 1899, maybe someone who has either the Sveriges Befolkning 1970 CD (swedish population in 1970) or the Sveriges Dödbok CD (deaths 1950-2000) would look to see if he is listed in either of these databases.
