The family is in Rinna HFL AI:13 1885-1894 page 258 at Stortorp, and Anders Albert's birth date is 30 Apr/Sep(?) 1874 in Kumla.

They had come 1889 from page 64 (GID 356.24.35800) at Gårdslätts Västergård, there you can see that the birth date is 30 Sep 1874.

Strangely enough, both Anders Albert Andersson mentioned by Bo emigrate in 1901 according to the cd EMIBAS, here is the info on the one from Rinna. Both are unmarried at the time, the one from Risinge is born 16 August.

Andersson, Anders Albert
Son (unmarried man)
b. 9/30/1874 in Kumla, Östergötlands län (Östergötland)
Emigrated 2/20/1901
from Stortorp, Rinna, Östergötlands län (=county)(Östergötland = province)
to Nordamerika (=North America)

Source: Household Examination Roll, p. 287
Emibas migration file ID: Rinna E 1901 005

The sister Johanna Matilda may have been called Hanna.

Eva

Thank you So Much Bo and Eva!  the Anders from Risinge isn't the one I'm looking for if his B-day is in August.  Now I just need to find out His Emigration info.  I have been looking for Passenger info, but either I am looking in the wrong spot or not doing it right.  Does anyone have that info I can get?  Also Does anyone know where I can find maps?

thanks again

Thank you for ALL your help I really Appreciate all the work you put into this for me.  I just have a couple questions.

Date: 1901-03-13 - is this the day he landed in the USA or the day he boarded the ship?  Also does it say the ships name?  I'm sorry for all the questions, its just after so many years of searching and finally getting some answers.  It seems I want to know everything

Thanks Again

Deanna, from the cd Emibas (my intervention) you get the date 20 february 1901 as the day he leaves the parish (gets the permit/certificate to move out) and from the cd Emigranten 2001 (The emigrant 2001 version) from Bo you get the date 13 March 1901 which is the date of the ticket at the harbour/port, which in this case is Göteborg/Gothenburg.

The ship's name is not given, the source code may be used by the regional archive in Gothenburg to find a copy of the ticket/contract
to give the name of the agent/ship line and sometimes a ship name. It may have been a feeder line to Copenhagen at this time. Their e-mail is landsarkivet@landsarkivet-goteborg.ra.se

The ticket/contract doesn't have much more details than what is given on the cd - but it gives the agent and the price paid.

regards,
Eva

I am so sorry to write again, but I think I did find him at Ellis Island.   everything fits But there seems to be a discrepency (sp?)  Its the age thing it says 26 on the manifest and you found his age at 27.  Why is that?  Sorry for so many questions I just can't understand the year younger.

thanks again

It is not unusual that there is an error of one or two years in the emigration port records, passenger lists, etc.

And if he was born 30 September 1874, he was 26 years and 5 months in March 1901. So it was probably a rounding error.

Sorry to reopen this post, but have some more questions.

1.  How do I find the name of the farm and pictures? if possible.

2.  When I insert the girls names into my tree, do I put Andersson or Andersdotter?

3.  How do I cite the information you have given me?

Thanks again for your help
