Place called Segerstad

My grandmother Christina Carlson immigrated from Sweden in 1893 and arrived at Ellis Island, New York, USA.  Her records indicate she was from Segerstad.  I do know there is a Segerstad on the island of Oland but because other records indicate She was from Osenhoga (don't know what this means), Smaland, Sweden I have eliminated the Segerstad in Oland.  It appears there was a Segerstad near Mariestad in the province of Smaland.  It may not exist now.  Does this mean anything to anyone reading this forum?

I will interfere in this discussion, as we since more than a year, are into clearing the sub-topics within Discussions in English from queries concerning individual emigrants/families.
 
This thread started as a plain question concerning a certain place/location within Sweden. As such it should be better located under Swedish geography, but with the first follow-up posting it's turning into a regular query for the predecessors of a family.
 
Norman: Is your main object to get the location and/or to get a full background of Christina's family ?
Usually the best is to place a posting in actual Landskap/Socken, but as this is not fully verified in your case, it might as well be placed in the state of USA where she ended up. So before I make a transfer - please tell me your main intention!

I don't know if it is of any interest but her brothers Amandus and Johan Emil also emigrated to US, Amandus left Åsenhöga Dec 23, 1890 and Johan Emil Sep 3, 1891 (Åsenhöga AI:11, page 14).
 
The father Carl Magnus Andersson was born July 24, 1828 at Ekberget in Tranemo, Älvsborgs county as son of Andreas Larsson Rask and Kjerstin Mårtensdotter (Tranemo C:9, page 3).
 
The mother Ingrid Magnusdotter was born May 25, 1829 at Apelås in Åsenhöga, Jönköping county as daughter of Magnus Hansson and Stina Nilsdotter (Åsenhöga C:4, page 201).
