I am looking for the emigration of Ida Alexandra Lindberg, b.15 Sep 1870, I believe in Neder Tornea, Norrbotten. She went to the US about 1887-1888. She married in MI in 1889. She may have also been under Hilda Lindberg. There is a question about her first name. Any help appreciated.

The following can be found about Ida Alexandra (in Swedish)

The last posting has several new links in it selve.

This is just to make other researchers, reading Swedish, aware of what already is found

Thank you, Mats. The person searching for her has most of that info, but has been unable to find her on any ship's manifest or to find the birth of her son, supposedly in Michigan in 1890 before they returned to Finland. The one possible clue was someone by that name coming through Glasgow, but they can't figure out why she would have been on a ship from Scotland. Guess they'll just have to keep searching.

It was, to my knowledge, three different main routes when travelling through Great Britain to US.

Landing in Hull and West Hartlepool normally meant that the emigrant travelled to Liverpool.
Landing in Leith (Granton Docks) and the natural next harbor was Glasgow

Perhaps they traveled from Hangö, unfortunately seems the passenger lists before 1891 to be gone

Ok, thank you. Sorry to her about the passengers lists from Hangö.

I did find that passengers from Hull often went by train to Glasgow, so she may have left from there.

Is it just the son's birth that isn't found. The other children born in US,are their certificates found?

So you don't know where the siblings were born, perhaps the family mowed around and the son's birth in 1890 could be in another part of US? Do you have the other childrens name and birth dates?

I have this information:
Gustav Edvard born 1892
Eva Alina born 1893
Hilda Karolina born 1895.

I haven´t found the birth on the internet but maybe in the Swenson Center och in Houghton Conty clerks office.

A big thank you from me.
Since they lived in Osceola both in 1889 and in 1895 the to other children are probably also born in Osceola.
