Ekman, Fanny b1870. Dep fr Gothenburg 1896 ?

My grandmother's (Edla Ekman Hille) sister, Fanny Ekman (born in May 1870), travelled to NYC by ship at least once in the 1890s. First in May 1890 and then possibly in October 1896. There is an Inflytnings entry from Adolf Fredrik's parish in Stockholm in late 1899 that says that she had recently returned from the USA and by 1900 she was definitely back in Stockholm for good. There is good reason, however, to believe she was in Stockholm in the autumn of 1896 (visiting my grandmother), which means that she must have left Sweden again that autumn and sailed back to NYC (Brooklyn), returning to Sweden for good only in 1899. The Ellis Island records in NYC show the arrival of a Mrs. B. Ekman, 25 years old, in October 1896, who is listed as traveling with her 2 1/2 year old son Billy and heading for Brooklyn (ship sailed from Glasgow).  Although the last name, the age and destination city (Brooklyn) fit Fanny well, the initial B doesn't fit, nor does the little boy (first time I hear of her having a son).
Can the Emigranten CD confirm a female Ekman departure in October 1896 from Gothenburg for Glasgow?

Tack, Bengt, för snabba hjälpen. Det måste vara den resan som det handlar om i Ellis Islands databas. Då är det säkert inte min Fanny som det handlar om med utvandringen 1896 09 25. Jag får leta längre.

Fanny Hildegard Ekman (b. 15 May 1870) is found on CD Emigranten (Code 42:42:6389) from Gothenburg 15 May 1890.
 
She is found in Adolf Fredrik parish moving in record 1899 dated 8 Feb From America to Uplandsgatan 2B.
There is also a note that says obest. 6/5 90-8/2 99 which indicates the she has been absent for all that period -
at least in parish records. That record states she is unmarried and nothing is mentioned of any child.
 
At death 15 Nov 1940 she is still unmarried. (Sankt Göran parish death record at SVAR).
So a question is from which source comes the 1896-trip, besides Beda Ekman above - which obviously is another person.
