Looking for Swan Sjkold (Skold)

We are looking for information about Swan Sjkold and his wife Marie and daughter Selma who emigrated to St. Onge, South Dakota around 1894. Elham Smith (Andersson) sent money for Swan's ticket and he worked for him until he had enough money to send for his wife.  Swan was born May 5, 1848, and Marie was born March 5, 1845. They may have been from Jonköping. We would appreciate any help you can give us.  Many thanks.

A very likely couple is this from the census 1890, living in Fullestad, Älvsborg County:

They had two more boys who died young and a daughter Hilma who left for America in 1887. Source:Household census:

In the next household census (SE/GLA/13023 Bergstena AI:7 (1888-1899)  Bild 171 / sid 23)
Svante is recorded as having run away in 1894, he is then listed as whereabouts unknown. Carl Johan left for America in 1891, wife Maria in 1897 with daughter Selma. Another son was born in 1890 but died at 2 months of age.  It is very likely that Svante also left for America, being a soldier he had to have special permission which he evidently did not seek.

The family also fits well with Swan and Marie having a daughter, Hilma Ostram (Skold) in South Dakota 1900 census.

Thank you, everyone. Today we visited the graves of Swan (Svante) and Marie (Maria) Skold in the Danish Lutheran cemetery outside of St. Onge, SD. It is good to have this additional information about them and their family.  We knew Carl Johan as Uncle Charlie.
