Johnson, John and Mathilda. Emigr from Smaland (?) to Minnesota

Hello,
I am looking for information on John Johnson's family, who emigrated to US, between the dates of 1865-1868. This is what I know from US census and old newspaper articles:  
 
John Johnson, born about June 1837 in Sweden
Wife: Mathilda Johnson, born about Jan. 1840 in Sweden  
Son: August Johnson born, 1958 or 1859 in Ginkoping-lan Sweden (From newspaper article)
Son: Andrew Johnson, born 10 July 1862 in Smaland Sweden. (From Newspaper article)
The family eventually settled on a farm in Waconia, Carver County, Minnesota.
 
1.   Is it possible to confirm actual birth dates and birth locations of these individuals?
2.   What was Mathilda's maiden name?
3.   Is there a record of John and Mathilda's marriage date and parent's last names?
4.   Since John became a farmer in Minnesota, was that his occupation in Sweden?
Of coarse any information on this family will be greatly appreciated.

Ginkoping-lan is probably Jönköping län (Jönköping county), which is in Småland province (your Smaland).  
 
The maiden name of the wife is listed below. They generally kept their maiden names.
 
 
Perhaps they are this family from the Emibas CD.

The wife's third given name, which began with M on Emibas, was Mathilda.
 
Marriage dates are sometimes listed in the household examination records, but that date is not listed here. You will have to follow them in the records (including the marriage books) to find the actual date and location of the marriage.
 
You should be able to find the parents (assuming records still exist; most do) by looking at their birth/baptism records. You have full birthdates and birth parishes, so that is enough information.
 
In addition to Arkiv Digital, there are other fee-based sites with scanned parish records.

The Swenson Swedish Immigration Research Center is a fantastic archive but their records are not online. We need to go there to research or pay them to research for us. They have records which are difficult or even impossible to find elsewhere, and many of us have found great amounts of information about our Swedes using their records.

The entry for the son named Axel Ferdinand is an error on the CD, he died 12 Aug 1867 in Hjälmseryd (source: Hjälmseryd AI:21 (1866-1871) Image 1460/Page 133).

I see the marriage record for Per Johan Johanisson and Helena Christina Mathilda Johansdotter in the records of Norra Ljunga parish in Jönköping. He was from Norra Hetseryd in Hjelmseryd parish and was born 1 July 1837. He was 20 years, one month old.
 
She was a farm owner's daughter in Ljunga Södregård. She was 17 years, six months old.  
 
Banns dates were 26 July, 2 August, and 9 August. The marriage date was 25 October?? 1857
 
There is a lot more written that I don't have time to deal with.
