Jag har fått mejl från två olika personer i Australien vilka hittat mitt inlägg här i AF.
Det är kanske lika bra att lägga ut delar av ett av mejlen som jag fick 2013;
I have a Hjalmar Anderson an abled bodied seaman who deserted (left illegally) the ship "Darra" on 18th. October 1876.
Also a Hjalmar Anderson an abled bodied seaman who deserted the ship "Wild Rose" on the 7th. August 1877
both ships arrived in Port Adelaide.
I do not know if this is actually him. You did say he was a sailor.
Caroline Mayo was born on the 9th. June 1858 at the Canterbury Arms Stables, Canterbury Road, Surrey.
Her Father was Alfred Mayo and Mother was Ann Mayo formerly Pilgrim.
Caroline sailed on the ship "Astracan" from Plymouth to Adelaide arriving on 26th. July 1876. Occupation was housemaid.
Hjalmar and Caroline were married on 6th. July, 1878 in St. John Church, Church of England, Adelaide.
Children were all born in Adelaide
Agnes Louisa b. 1st. June, 1879 died 26th. November 1879
Alfred Albert b. 5th. August, 1880
Ernest William b. 3rd. July, 1882
Agnes Louisa b. 5th. January, 1884
Hjalmar Henry Theodore b. 16th. July, 1885
Annie Caroline b. 3rd. July, 1887
John Alfred b. 19th. September 1888
Henrietta Elizabeth b. 25th. November, 1890 died 20th. January 1892
Francis Sydney b. 20th. May, 1892
Hjalmar Ludvig Anderson died 14th. May 1932 aged 77 years.
Caroline Anderson died 17th. April 1944 aged 85 years.
They both died at their home.
